Arizona down at Stanford

I just looked at Arizona's schedule and they do not play a SINGLE RANKED TEAM the rest of the season.

God dang that conference is trash.

Truly baffling.

Zona will still get a 1 or 2 seed somehow.
Probably will be; wouldn't mind being in their region.

W're going to keep seeing a lot of losses like this this year. It's already happened to a bunch of teams and it's going to keep happening as conference play gets going. It'll probably happen to us once or twice.

Made 7 shots from 3 and still were outscored from 3 by 27 points. Not gonna win many games when the other team shoots 58/64/86. Those be ps5 numbers

I said they were a fraud weeks ago and no one wanted to listen. Same can be said for Houston. Houston has had a few legit teams the past decade. This year's Houston team isn't one of them.
Arizona is not a fraud. They have one bad loss, and just about every top team will have one of those by the end of the year. If you judge teams based on their worst few games of the year you can argue everyone's a fraud. Them losing this game is just college basketball in 2023. Tons of parity, especially during conference games on the road.

One bad loss? They lost last week to an FAU team that now has losses to both Bryant and Florida Gulf Coast. FAU is obviously a fraud just like AZ is.

Yes, one bad loss. FAU isn't a fraud either. Is Purdue a fraud because they lost to a team that lost to Chicago St.? You can play the transitive loss game all you want, that doesn't mean top teams are a fraud. And that's kind of my point, by March you'll be able to point to a few games for just about every team and make an argument that they're a fraud. Are we fraud because of the UNCW game?

The UNCW game is one bad loss. AZ has two, but keep pretending FAU is worth a crap. They are living off last year’s results.

There is nothing transitive about FAU.

They have 2 horrific losses.

I don't think FAU is a great team, but it's not a bad or horrific loss. They're highly ranked in just about every metric. It's just an normal, run of the mill loss for Arizona. We'll have a few losses that are exactly the same come March.

UConn lost several in the middle of the year last season. I don’t think this skid will last.

Arizona already has wins over Mich St Duke Bama and Wisconsin. I don’t consider them a fraud.

Houston - I agree. They haven’t played a single ranked team yet this season and it looks like A&M is their only tough game imo.

Me too!

We are better than Az. It’s just that simple.

By fraud I mean not top 10. MSU is 8-5 this year, Bama is also 8-5 and Duke and Wisconsin neither are top 10 teams.

Arizona is top 25 but they are not a top echelon team this year. The metric ranking systems this early in the season rely way to much on last year's results. So teams who were good last year benefit and have inflated ratings.

Take care of business this week and we should be top5 come next Monday.

Maybe someone can tell me, but it seems like several years since Kentucky was rated top5 in January and beyond. Maybe a few weeks with the Oscar/TyTy year?

Wow.

Arizona loses by 18 to Stanford. even on the road, that is shocking.

Should be good enough for Duke to make the top 5 once again.

Even though Arizona beat them.

In Durham.

Sounds about right to me.

Duke raises 10 spots. Sits at #6 as a result of FAU and Arizona losing. Kentucky stays put, might fall a spot IF they can beat Florida.....

SIGH

NC is legalizing sports betting in a week. That day I’m putting like 500 on Ariz to win PAC10 at I think +130 odds. To me seems like a lock!
I have a parlay on Arizona to win the pac 12 and Purdue to win the Big ten that will pay 461.00 on the 100.00 I bet, then I have Dayton, FAU, Purdue, Weber St, Arizona, South Dakota ST and the Zags to all win their conference. A 5.00 bet on that one pays 1229.00. Kind of a reach but 1229.00 risking 5.00 is worth it!!

Based on what I have seen Purdue and AZ should win those Conferences.

The 5.00 bet has value in my opinion. Hard to hit a 7 team parlay, but. for 5.00 not much downside and alot of upside on a educated bet.

I bet when you made the 5 dollar wager gonzaga wasn't the team you worried over...

FAU loses again today to a shitty Charlotte team.

Still don't think FAU is a fraud? Still want to stick to your guns on that one?
