We win at Kansas then we will move all the way to the Top 10. Unless they want to drop KU down to the 12-15 range.....which they won't.
We'd both have the same record and we'd own a win at their place. Nobody being halfway objective could rank them ahead of us.
Right. KU is 2-15 against UK outside of Lawrence. They won at Rupp in 2005 then beat us in Chicago in the second round in 2007.
Actually, we could have a better record than them if they lose tonight. They'd be 16-5 & we'd be 17-4.
How far do you think 16-5 Kansas would fall in the polls? Not as far as they should. IF this happened they'd be 2-4 in their last 6.
Actually rankings have nothing to do with where you are seeded. A lot of times they will go hand in hand but that isn't because the committee is looking at the rankings it has to do with your resume for your entire season and not what some coach or AP polls say.
The way this year has gone I look for several teams ranked ahead of us to lose. It's not out of the realm of possibility that UK will be ranked 15 or better with only 2 wins.
I agree with you about dropping out if we lose to Kansas though. Hopefully we won't have to worry about that.
UK is not going to be a 2 seed in the Louisville region. They would not do something like that to a 1 seed.
Thought we may have moved up to 16-18 range. When you have people like Vitale saying we haven't improved since the Duke game you know you are fighting an uphill battle as far as perception is concerned. Makes you wonder if people are really watching the games or just looking at the scores.

RPI for at least four teams with the same amount of losses is a lot lower too. Tell me how that happens all you computer model guru's since several stated our bad, bad, bad losses... I still say; garbage in, garbage out as far as these models...
Oh really, have you forgotten Ohio State in 2011 ? They were the #1 seed paired with UNC as the 2 seed, and UK as the 4 seed. The Buckeyes were something like 34-1 before losing to the Cats in the regional semis'.
