Feel free to move this to The Paddock if needed.

Joining my first NBA Fantasy draft. 12 teams, snake draft. Still learning all the points and what not. You draft a regular starting 5, then an extra PF, C, Utility, and 3 bench players.

Really don't like a snake draft for 12 people. 8 people? Fine, but 12 is going to make this extremely varied between talent.

Any tips going into this? Do's and Don'ts? I'm sure this is a "Don't", but I'm tempted to draft an entire Kentucky roster. Don't care about the money, but if I could pull off a podium finish with all Kentucky players it would be a riot.

Can't miss players? Players that are too high? What to look for?

Looks like Head-to-Head Points.

The league website on Yahoo gives some information. But it's kind of hard to decipher as I've never played.
And found this under scoring:

Field Goals Attempted: -0.45
Field Goals Made: 1.0
Free Throws Attempted: -0.75
Free Throws Made: 1.0
3-point Shots Made: 3.0
Points Scored: 0.5
Total Rebounds: 1.5
Assists: 2.0
Steals: 3.0
Blocked Shots: 3.0
Turnovers: -2.0

So, I take it those are essentially multipliers? Making defense (blocks, steals) a little more important?

Good points. So Curry for example from the other night. Yeah he dropped 40+, but he also did it with a lot of shots. So by no means a bad outing, but maybe not as good as you'd expect?
