I knew before I watched this they purposely wouldn't show Brea.
I get that. But it's still certainly a winnable game. Georgia is no juggernaut. No, but is Georgia Ohio State or even Clemson? Not having Brea is one weapon missing, which means more pressure on everyone else. He’s our best shooter.
I think he plays,I knew before I watched this they purposely wouldn't show Brea.
We will be their Super Bowl, and just hope we can score early and quiet the crowd. Georgia has beaten some decent teams and will be jacked. Need a big game from everyone, especially Butler.I get that. But it's still certainly a winnable game. Georgia is no juggernaut.
Hear me out, if UGA really cared if he was at the shoot around, they would know. No reason to hide him on a UK video. Makes me think he isn’t playing tonight.I knew before I watched this they purposely wouldn't show Brea.
Bookies from Vegas probably got to them and told them to shut up because the mystery drives gamblers to gamble.Lexington TV station made no mention of Brea’s not being available during their morning sports report today. Seems like this would have been newsworthy. Maybe they just fvcked up and missed it.
I thought the same about their "decent teams", but looking at their schedule there are really no decent teams they've beaten. Jury is still out on St. John's. They barely won against the likes of Tennessee Tech, Ga Tech, SC State and the mighty Grand Canyon. Three of these close games were AT Athens. We will be their Super Bowl, and just hope we can score early and quiet the crowd. Georgia has beaten some decent teams and will be jacked. Clemson hadn't beaten anyone neither before our game. The two "decent" teams still in the Top 25 were Marquette and Ole Miss, and they lost badly to both.
General rule with this team: just expect ugly, and don't hang on every single possession. Trust in their toughness and ability to (usually) figure something out.I thought the same about Ohio State, and they kicked our butts on a neutral court.
We'll have to be insane to win without Brea. We have to play insane every game in order to win in the SEC with our lack of star power and total dependency on efficient, team basketball.
Nothing will ever come easy for this UK team in the SEC.
Agreed.General rule with this team: just expect ugly, and don't hang on every single possession. Trust in their toughness and ability to (usually) figure something out.
You must not know how to do it correctly. It’s a scienceQuit drinking about 6-7 years ago.. Wasn't much on drinking when I did drink..
Brea isn’t listed on the injury report anymore
Did back in the late 80s,, especially mid to late 90s when I basically lived in Richmond partying and bar hoping from Louisville to Nashville and most points in between.. And Marlows Country Palace..You must not know how to do it correctly. It’s a science
Great. I think UGA will try and mug Brea anyway. Their only chance is to be allowed to rough us up and at the same time get us in foul trouble.Brea isn’t listed on the injury report anymore
I have never understood how it is that the team with the roughing up their opponent's strategy gets less fouls than the team that is getting roughed up.Great. I think UGA will try and mug Brea anyway. Their only chance is to be allowed to rough us up and at the same time get us in foul trouble.
We got this though!!
That’s the only chance UGA has. They have to make this game a rock fightGreat. I think UGA will try and mug Brea anyway. Their only chance is to be allowed to rough us up and at the same time get us in foul trouble.

The Vols have mastered that strategy for years now it seems.I have never understood how is it that the team with the roughing up their opponent's strategy gets less fouls than the team that is getting roughed up.
I don't mind the rock fight if the refs make the appropriate calls. If the appropriate calls are made, the rock fight will only last for so long before foul trouble will shut it down. That’s the only chance UGA has. They have to make this game a rock fight
I agree but the problem is college refs let home crowds influence calls more than any other sportI don't mind the rock fight if the refs make the appropriate calls. If the appropriate calls are made, the rock fight will only last for so long before foul trouble will shut it down.
Oops, sorry, I thought they had beaten those 2.I thought the same about their "decent teams", but looking at their schedule there are really no decent teams they've beaten. Solid list. Wiggins would probably be my #1.Yes, things would have come a bit easier for this UK team if they had landed a legit star like Lanier.
In terms of guys we went after that we missed on, he's in my top 15 "coveted but couldn't get" list over the last 30 years. Here's my list. It only includes guys I actually followed in recruiting at the time, so guys like Iverson didn't make the cut because I didn't really follow their recruitment.
My "All-Coveted but Couldn't Get" team:
#15. Larry Hughes (we had a shot, but he stayed home in St. Louis).
#14. Xavier Henry (I didn't know how much Wall hated him at the time).
#13. Chris Duhon (Tubby's missing link).
#12. Thaddeus Young (one of the coolest names ever).
#11. Kyrie Irving
#10. R.J. Barrett
#9. Malik Newman (I was so wrong about this kid).
#8. Zion Williamson
#7. Chaz Lanier
#6. Vincent Yarbrough
#5. Byron Mouton (fun player, and would have given us our three-point threat on that 1999 team).
#4. Andrew Wiggins (we all wanted this kid in Lexington)
#3. Darius Rice
#2. Ray Allen (most of this was retroactive when I saw him play during his first year at UConn).
#1. Tracy McGrady
Well in our defense it was our first true road game.Clemson hadn't beaten anyone neither before our game. Road games are tough.
Brea isn’t listed on the injury report anymore
Him having the warmup stuff makes me think he is playing
