Anyone get a feeling...

I think if we win, it’s close. I don’t really see a scenario where we blow them out tonight.

Do we even know who the hell is going to be playing and not playing? We usually get some random news about a guy or two being out about a half hour before tip off. Hard to predict anything with this bunch.

Was Alan Houston the last opponent that came in here and had a tough night? It has been a long time seeing that in Rupp.
Our arena is not imposing on other teams any more. We don't separate ourselves when we have the chance.

It's on Cal to turn up the heat. But since Ricky Barnes is a friend, he won't.

My expectation is a tight game. Two wounded, talented teams.

I don’t know, but would suspect that the refs will not completely job us, coming off a loss and playing at Rupp.

So I would expect it to be tight late, and whoever makes plays pulls it out.

Our players are to soft for their defense. They will fold like they did against SC. I expect UT to win big today. I hope not but will not be upset if it happens.

If we lose today this season is over. We will collapse and Cal will have to use ChatGPT to generate the excuses.

If Wagner is back I believe we win but no one is going to be “boat raced “ in this game . Even if we had a nice lead , Cal would take the air out of the ball and allow them to make the final score closer than it would have been.

I fell this game is similar to the Kansas game at rupp last year. Kentucky will keep in respectable and close but never truly get over the hump and will end up losing by 8-10

I weirdly do. Maybe not boat race, because this team hasn't proven it can blow out people. But maybe win in a way that feels like the game was never in doubt?

Well I can’t help but hope all the positive Polly’s are right today.

Why are we a matchup nightmare for Tennesee?
They can't stop our guards. Knecht will score 30+ but we should get 25-30 pts from UGO, Bradshaw and Z at the 5 spot and I think we have 2-3 guards get 20+.
They aren't nearly as quick and athletic as we are. Take the rosters and put them side by side, we are the type of team Tennessee doesn't want to see come March. That's why they flame out by sweet 16 as usual.

UT not the greatest shooting team, maybe they are even worse today. They shot 44% on 2s and 33% on 3s. They only have 2 players above 35% that plays any minutes. UK on the other hand, 49% FG and 40% on 3FG. Knecht is a huge concern, but hold him to 25, somewhat contain Ziegler and hope our shots are falling. The biggest question I feel is how the whistle is called today. A "LET EM PLAY" whistle, we could be in trouble. If they call it how it is suppose to be and call a offensive players whistle, we win.

That we boat race Tennessee on Saturday?
weigh anchor...

I also have that feeling. 15-20 point win for the Cats. We are a matchup nightmare for them.
I don't think we will blow them out. However, I do agree we are a matchup nightmare for them IF Cal let's us play our game and dictates the pace. I think we are far more likely to smash them than they are to beat us down.

If Barnes had a stroke and doesn't try to stop us from getting out in transition then yeah, we could win handedly.
Unfortunately, Barnes will make it a physical half-court rock fight and Oscar isn't walking through that door.
We could manage a win if we shoot well enough. But unless Cal suddenly started to coach defense in the last 4 days, I can't see us blowing out Tennessee.

They will play lights out in Rupp.
