Boley certainly got better protection than BV did. Was that because Texas was tiring or subbed in a bunch? or something else?
You wonder if jealousy creeps into the huddle with Brock making bank and the lineman making a lot less. You know a least a few times these guys say to themselves yeah let’s see how much he is worth without any help from me blocking for him.
It looks that way because boley gets rid of the ball. Like levis, bvg brings much of his own punishment on himself by holding the ball or making slow decisions.
This will be an ongoing issue with NIL...it will become unmanageable.
I think a combo of the game being over tx relaxed a bit but some of it even from the defense was just staying engaged more just from a stray ray of hope standpoint.
Still had SImmons in the game. He ate RT Woods lunch. Woods was beat on nearly every snap.
The OL has caught a lot of criticism (and rightfully so in many instances), but BVG inability to read the defense, step up in the pocket, check down when nothing is open, and just holding on to the ball too long has made the OL look worse than they probably are.
CB is much better at all those things and the OL obviously appreciates him for it.

Yeah, it's a shame Boley has to make his first start vs such an ACC juggernaut D. Huge disadvantage for UK.
That's called being a good teammate, wouldn't expect anything else.
For sure, and nil players getting away with talking back to coaches, slow walking in practice, etc while someone else who gets 0 nil gets yelled at entire game and practice.
And you know that how, you on the field and at practice every day? So you're either a player, coach, team/equipment manager...which is it?
If it was the money don’t you think you would see more of that in the NFL, where the disparity between QB and OL is 7 figures? Sure, money could be the answer and while it OFTEN is, it isn’t ALWAYS.
Seems more likely to me that game respects game. They know BVG was floundering and CB was out there getting the ball off quickly and decisively, making their job a lot easier and moving the ball. We also don’t know but CB may have earned their respect in his practice and prep.
