Anyone else feeling nostalgic today?

I've been looking forward to the post-season all year. And, I'm still excited for it so we can see this thing through to the end. However, I feel a little sad today because the regular season is ending. It has been one hell of a fun ride and I'm sad to see it end! It's probably also the last time we will see many of these guys play in Rupp (aside from alumni games, of course). I have loved every minute of watching these guys play (with the exception of a few stressful stretches in the Ole Miss, A&M, LSU and Georgia games!)

They've accomplished so much already. Hopefully there are more accomplishments to come. But today, I just want to enjoy this team's unselfishness and talent once more in the regular season!

Go Cats!!

I'm 100% with you. We are watching something special today. Everyone enjoy!

Absolutely. I've been a little down for the last 3-4 weeks. Seems to happen every year, because to me there's basketball season and then a bunch of months in between.

I definitely do. The end of the regular season is bittersweet. After the SEC tournament and the first game of the NCAAs, we're never guaranteed another game.

I love that feeling when I'm at work on a Tuesday or Wednesday and I remember that there's a game on that night. It makes my whole day better -- gets me a little giddy even. I realized after the Georgia game that that feeling is over for this year. Only to be replaced with the agonizing anxiety and mania of tournament time. And then the crash, when it's all over... I'm ready for the highs, though. Wouldn't trade it for the world. I love this month.

Absolutely. I started feeling like this at the halfway point of the SEC. Now, with no more than nine games left, it's pretty strong. I've tried to be mindful watching this team of exactly how good they are and how, no matter how many years or decades I have left, I may never see another 30-0 team. We should all try to live in the moment and savor it as much as possible with so little time left in the year. This has been a truly special season so far.

very - this season has gone much too fast. And, of course, it has coincided with one of the most amazing times in our lives (became a grandma on August 22 - just after the Bahamas trip)

Is it bad that I'm always going to remember this, if for no other reason than it was the same time frame my beautiful granddaughter was born? Or that I'll remember the year my granddaughter was born because it was the same time frame our Cats began their magical season?

It has been a very special year.I am torn between reflecting on where this team fits into UK history(considering I have been a fan since the late 50's) and being focused on them finishing the job now that we are at this point.

In 12' I had the feeling by this point that we were poised for a deep run in the NCAAT and it just wouldn't be right if we didn't win it all
In 98 it was like Forrest Gump's box of choclates, you didn't know what you would get
In 96 you just knew we were better than anyone else, that team wasn't going to lose
In 78 it was show up take care of business and move on
In 66 it was Butch and Sundance(who are those guys,)they came out of nowhere but were magical on the court
In 58 I was too young to understand much more than "it's Kentucky we are supposed to win because we are the good guys"

This year remains to be seen, will the team take on a whole other persona in the tourney.I think it is possible that they go to a level we have only seen 2 or 3 times this year.

I think so too. At least I hope so. I suppose there is always the possibility that the pressure just becomes too much. But experience from this year tells us that the bigger the stage the brighter these Cats shine. But no matter what happens after today, I am so proud to be fan of this team.

I just live in the moment. I t's been an awesome season and I am so grateful to these young men who chose to play for us for one, two, or three years. There will be more awesome seasons to come. I mean, who in 2012 thought that season would ever be topped? Yet here we are.

Thank goodness we live in the age of YouTube so I can always go back and watch this team whenever I feel like it.

I wouldn't call it nostalgic, not yet anyway, but I definitely agree with sad.. One of the things that comes with age along with OK maybe a couple of inches around the waist is perspective. This is a season like I've never seen before, and I've seen a few. It could very well never happen again for UK. Probably be a long time before it happens for anyone else. So yea I'm sad to see it end. Like a lot of things it doesn't lessen the moment, but one really can't appreciate it until after. So come on Cat's, just get this thing done already! Beat whatever it is that comes out of Gator;s.
