Anybody buying that Flagg is thinking of staying?

I can say with 100% certainty that Flagg will still be in college next year playing for Duke!

Keep in mind that this prediction is coming from someone who thought Larry Bird would be a bust in the NBA, thought Cal would win 4 or most titles at UK and was absolutely convinced that Hillary would beat Trump, Trump would beat Biden, and Trump would beat Kamala. So, I am batting 1 out of 5! Write it down. It is going to happen.

Quicker you get to the second contract in the NBA the more money you make.

He’ll make more endorsement money by being an awesome pro
In NBA he will be 1 of the best 50 initially, maybe.
In college he would "rake it in". I honestly think he would make more endorsement money at Duke.

He’ll be one of if not the best white American player day 1. There aren’t many of them.

He’s already super famous. And there a half decent chance he’ll be awesome right away.

He’s going to have a chance to be the highest endorsed player on the league as he may be the best white American player since Bird.

Just asking, would you give me your top 6 horses in the first race at Keeneland today? (there are 7 entered) ;)

What the hell has gotten into some of you in re: Flagg?

He's just not that guy.

If he can carve out a Michael Porter Jr. role for himself that's probably near the upper range of his outcomes.

Very good player he isn’t the 2nd coming of Larry Bird. Hope he stays Duke will be loaded but only 1 basketball and too many alphas wanting it. Their Coach can’t Coach perfect storm coming if he does

I think Cal has proven that if you get enough Jimmie's and Joe's that you can still overcome an incompetent coach who doesn't know x's and o's to win it all.

He ain't staying. He has to go so he will be 1 year closer to his second contract, that's the BIG money.

If i was him honestly I would. You're never going to have fun like this again in your life why rush to end it to make money that's there whenever you you go. His family is just fine financially and he would get more nil than anyone from the school that apparently has a nil money tree out back.

Kids 18 I would just enjoy being a kid still. Granted I'm in my 50s and got a much clearer perspective than at 18. Lol

I'd bet $100 bucks he stays. Collects a cool $10M and then he heads the NBA after in more year in school. Dark Money Duke will pull it off.

Id think losing Nipple just pushes him to leave even more. 2nd best player on the team, a great floor spacer for Flagg, and a guy who was in the freshman class with him. You're going to risk injury to come back to a mostly new and very unproven Duke team?

No. Being the #1 pick pretty much guarantees you eventually being a billionaire if you're not a bust.
Also, the worst team in the league will also have the best chance of drafting him next year.
Billionaire? Uh, no.

I think people underestimate the draw of these guys wanting to be rich, young adult men vs wealthy college students. These guys want to buy a house, be their own man, start thier lives. Screw living in dorms, and classes, and rules, and curfews etc. I know that would absolutely be a draw for me.
Agree with you but he’s already a multimillionaire. He’s not living in some random dorm, he’s in with all the bball players hanging out, playing video games. He’s still got a face covered in acne. Have you heard, he only recently turned 18. Kids that age want to hang out, have fun. He’s likely not dying to get a big house but he easily could, and I mean a million dollar house, if he wanted right now. But, after saying all that, he’s the type who’s taking mom and dad with him when he goes pro, hopefully tomorrow.

Boozer twins are good but they aren't great.
I think kon was better than either Boozer will be

Absolutely. He was great, just overshadowed. I thought he legitimately might come back if duke threw loads of cash at him. If hes gone, surely flagg leaves too.

Curious how kon does in the nba. He struggled on d but had maluach behind him so it went mostly unmentioned.

I think he is too slow and athletic to do great but he will get a few minutes a game because of his shooting.

While I think he leaves (99%). I wouldn't say it's a "lock".
Option A: you are rich, will be very rich
Option B: you are rich, will be very rich

Maybe he just wants to enjoy being a kid for 1 more year.

Its crazy to think, but if Flagg is as good as people think.. he will be a billionaire. Through 60mil/year salaries, to all the endorsements, to longer careers in the NBA.. The only interesting caveat here is that the NBA ratings are not good and they need to fix things in the coming years, or I don't see the salaries continuing to go up at the next CBA and what not.

No way Duke is going to pay him 10 million next year and why not get a year up on that 2nd contract while making 6-7 million more. With that said if there is any team in college basketball that could convince a guy to do what is best for the coach and university over the player it would be Duke.

I would not be shocked if that secret Duke NIL consortium put up $10M for him.
