Any UK Players You Didn’t Like?

I believe I know who you are talking about and I think that happened(or came out) after he left UK. And he was one of the 5 worst starters in my 55 years of watching UK games(I'm not even counting Coury as a starter).

I must have never heard about this

Probably unpopular, but I did not enjoy watching Tyler Herro. I didn't like his style of play, his put-on arrogance, and his more often than not no-show against the good teams. Doesn't help that my first real impression of him was the opener against Duke where it was obvious how much better all their freshman wings were than him.

There's a reason he said "I'm a bucket" against NIT level Arkansas and not Tennessee, Kansas or Duke

nope, just something about him I didn't like......I will say he was better than I thought he would be....thought it was a HUGE mistake to offer him because of his size
You’re the only UK fan I’ve ever encountered who disliked Ulis.

And I suspect it’s really just because he made you look like a fool for that original “HUGE mistake to offer him” take.

Travis Ford. Helps that I knew him personally and already knew he was an arrogant asshat.
I was at the Maui Classic when we beat AZ on a layup. .Before that I went to a banquet and went over to the KY team tables to get autographs. I took the card that said UK team table and had them sign it. All did except one. guess who-Travis Ford. What an arrogant ashhat he was/is. Still have the autographs in my UK collection..

Michael Bradley.

Tubby played him a lot on a National Championship team and he would have been great here if he had stayed. But his attitude and his dad's arrogance were ridiculous!!! When he transferred, I was elated even though he was actually a very skilled Big.

2 kids that were constantly bashed and fans were extremely critical of that I actually felt sorry for was: Rob Lock and Jarred Prickett.

Correction, he played a lot of the '99 team. He was a freshman for title team and played some but not a lot. He played a lot as a sophomore. Dude ended up being a beast at Villanova.

Least favorite on the court was probably Saul. He was just so terrible as a PG. He had no business playing at UK, much less, starting.

Off the court, found out years after he played here that Brassow was a world class _______________.

Also, unfortunately found out the same about one of everyone's favorites....CH44. In Chuck's defense some of what I found out was word of mouth, not first hand experience.

Reading this thread and thinking back on some of our former players caused me to Google Alex Legion. Wow, was that guy a case! I remembered his mom was nuts and that he transferred to Illinois.

I didn’t know:
* He left Illinois for FIU under then coach Isiah Thomas. He was kicked off the team.
* After a career overseas, he got in some trouble at his job. Here’s the info copied from Wikipedia.

In February 2021, Legion stepped down from his position as Parks and Recreation Director in his hometown of Inkster, Michigan amid allegations of theft and embezzlement. He was alleged to have pocketed a $1,500 payment from the Joe Biden presidential campaign to rent a city facility the day before the November election. The Biden administration wrote a $1,500 check to Signature Milestones LLC to rent the facility; Legion was an organizer and managing partner with the company, according to state corporate records in 2017 and 2019.[18] City officials first became suspicious of Legion when they noticed he was leasing the facility to friends and using the rental funds to renovate his city office, according to Inkster Mayor Patrick Wimberly.

Not necessarily that I didn’t like him, but Lance Ware was a real dweeb. Always trying to be a tough guy with no game.

The Dragon
Sharpe
Harrow (The picture of him laying on his bed with his dog a POODLE, not even a mans dog) crying did it for me.

As far as Ford goes, I know him very well, grew up playing against him thru middle school and then on the same team in high school. He is an arrogant ass at times, but I generally listed players based on on the court. Harrow the exception, but he was soft on the court also.
But Travis did invite me to the private screening of his movie 6th Man back in the day at the movie theater in Madisonville, so,,,, Been on his house boat down at KY Lake, so some good times, but he could be an asshole at times. I actually open hand slapped him one day playing pick up ball. True story. All in all, he is a good dude, his daddy on the other hand, nope.

Seem to recall he had a major hand in us beating Houston in the tournament.
