I watched the Tybura vs Diniz fight yesterday, and couldn't believe they were going to Diniz continue fighting. Deep cut in both eyelids, and a cut on the nose that wouldn't stop bleeding.

Saw that fight and only thing I could think of is the ring doctor didn't think it was impacting the fighter's ability to fight.

UFC card this past weekend was really good. Still can't believe at 37 years of Age Jon Jones is that good. I find it amusing Tom Aspinall is calling out Jon Jones and accusing him of ducking the fight. Aspinall hasn't beaten anyone worth a dam and he thinks he is on Jon Jones level. Honestly, I hope Jones fights him and beats his A$$ for an easy paycheck. I give Jones 3 maybe 4 more fights and he will retire as he should. Nobody is on his level at Light Heavyweight or Heavyweight. People love to hate Jones because he has completely dominated the sport for so long.

Tom has done more prior to his interim title shot than Jon did when he was given a shot against a much older shogun Rua. Tom has beaten 3 of the top 5 in heavyweight (easily) and that's only because Gane and Jones are ducking him.

Jones ducked ngannou and is doing the same now while holding up the division for his "legacy" and has already said after Stipe he prefers to fight Alex, which is another easy fight for him.

Jones will likely do one of two things. He will either force ufc to pay him McGregor money to fight Tom or he will continue to try to force Alex and make Ufc strip him.

Say what you want about the status of the current heavyweight division, Tom is clearly the best and Jones is acting like Tom calling him out is unjustified. How is he not ducking?

Who has Tom beaten that is worth a dam? Nobody! He doesn't have the skillset or speed to beat Jones. Tom either gets choked out or knocked out by Jones and that is the bottom line. Everybody thinks they can beat Jon Jones until they get in the cage with him and then they realize it aint happening.

Tom has beaten everyone the UFC has put in front of him with the exception of the fight where he tore his knee up vs Blades. Doesn't have the speed to beat Jones? What did you think about a 42 year old Stipe? I thought I was watching the Jake Paul vs Tyson fight all over again! You apparently have never watched a Tom Aspinall fight. If Tom doesn't have the speed then there ain't a heavyweight alive that does. And when Dana White has to say that Jones is either fighting Aspinall next or he is retiring then yes, he is a duck.

He's beaten more ranked heavyweights than Jon Jones has. Your assessment of Tom's speed and skillset (he started in mma as a bjj/wrestling hybrid and developed his stand up over time) tells me you just haven't seen him fight.

Trust me, if Tom didn't have the skillset to beat Jones they would have fought already. Gane didn't have the skillset to beat Jones. Stipe was just too damn old and wanted a final payday which is fair play.

If Tom doesn't deserve his title shot, Jon Jones didn't deserve it 13 years ago when he fought for the LHW belt off of one good win.

Admit it, your GOAT is a duck (full of steroids).

Noone is better than jones. Noone. Its possible noone ever will be.

Its mma and anything can happen on a given night but still... that man is incredible.

I really like aspinall but jones is just another level.

This is what is so frustrating. People criticizing Jones for sitting out Ngannou's run at HW and then swooping in to fight Gane (who was thoroughly out wrestled by Ngannou with two blown out knees) and Stipe (who hasn't fought in four years, is 42 years old and was obliterated when he last fought) aren't saying Jones is any less special than he was 8 years ago, we're saying he's doing the exact opposite of what veterans did for him when he was 23 years old.

If he's on another level from Tom and Francis, why isn't he fighting them? Why did he spend years saying all he had to do was get over the fear of "getting knocked out cold" by Francis to get in the octagon? Why downplay the literal interim champion of your division who has more wins in the division and has spent less time in the cage in his last 7 fights than you did in your most recent fight against a mostly retired firefighter?

Jon is talking about legacy so much that it's actually hurting his legacy now. He made a living beating up small LHW's that were usually much older than him and, when he finally started fighting actual LHW's, he struggled to be as dominant (and lost vs. Reyes).

Jon Jones is a great MMA fighter who has been spoon fed everything in the world by Dana White (venue changes for pissing hot, the ability to pick who and when he fights, even this most recent event went back to the old UFC gloves because Jon didn't like the new ones). He's also a terrible human being outside of the octagon in spite of spending an entire interview ducking the Tom Aspinall question to discuss his love of America and Jesus Christ.

I'm not saying Tom beats Jon, manhandles him or any of the other things a lot of newer UFC fans would say. But I am saying that Jones not fighting Tom is a bigger indictment of Jon than it is of Tom.

I think its a negotiation tactic and he will end up fighting aspinall. Even if he fights ap next, ap is as dangerous as anyone and is on a historic tear.

I think ngannou had other business related issues. I think he was too rich which is why you see him bouncing around. I don't blame him for that but for the same reasons i don't blame dana and anyone else in the ufc for not agreeing to something absurd.

I agree wholeheartedly that it's a negotiation tactic but Jon can't keep holding up Tom's career because he wants Connor money. If I'm Dana, I give him until May to get a price and date agreed upon then strip him if we can't work it out.

He's forced several other champions to turnaround quickly for upcoming stars (Aljo had to fight Sean just three months after a fight in which he was injured) so this shouldn't be new for them. Tom is the future of the division and deserves his shot, and soon.

Ngannou messed up by asking for health care coverage for fighters and wanting better pay for everyone (not just himself). Dana figured he wasn't going to get boxing gigs and couldn't carry a promotion so he let him walk. There's little doubt Dana is seething about what Francis has accomplished since leaving.

There was a three year window where Jon could have taken that fight, but he never did.
