A beginning of year tournament with Ohio State, Xavier, Cincinnati, Dayton, Purdue, Illinois, West Virginia and UK. Play it in Chicago. The Midwest Challenge or something like that. Would be a hell of a tournament. Or you could replace 4 of those with 4 other smaller conference teams from the area that way the top 4 get an easier first game.

3 Big Ten teams in same tourney would probably make all 3 of them unlikely to do it. Same die X and UC. They already have a crosstown war.

As a Virginia native I'd love to see a series against UVA, especially now that they're pretty good. Good border state matchup that could be interesting to watch.

If the money is right then the crosstown could just be included in the tournament at the beginning of the season. Also, they could play twice in the OOC as some teams have or will do this year and I believe last year as well. As for the Big Ten thing you just subtract two of them and put in teams like Miami OH, or Ohio U. There are other teams like Wright State, EKU, WKU, and some others.
