Here's something to consider... aren't the choicest portal entries likely to be kids who pass through Spring practice before realizing they are one spot further down the depth chart than they are willing to accept? In good programs, these are kids at least as good as the kids we might lose, and sometimes better.
I share the expressed concern about our ability to backfill all these departures, but think we might be (1) waiting a bit for Spring entries, (2) expecting some of the current UK players will take themselves out, and (3) playing our cards close to the vest after the recent experience with the Syracuse kid who was apparently announced before admissions had cleared him for registration (?). Seems educational privacy concerns might be drying up info? Kids can register at any time before the add drop deadline, unless my memory of these things has failed, so we might need that date beyond just looking at Monday.
