Any help with NBA2K...please!!

Hey, I just got my son NBA 2K on Sun. For some reason it won't let him get online and he can't do the extra features like building court, etc.. Gamestop don't know how to help and Microsoft couldn't fix it. 2K only has a site where u can submit a request and I have done this twice. Does anyone know if we r doing something wrong or what. All of r other games work perfectly fine. It has to be something in the system we have to change or something,, driving us crazy!! Thanks for any help!!

I've had a few issues on PS4 connecting to the 2K server, and did last year too for about a month. I doubt you're doing anything wrong, 2K is just overwhelmed. Give it a few weeks.

If your other games are working online, try uninstalling and reinstalling 2k on the xbox, then try all the suggestions GameStop and Microsoft gave you again. If none of that works, it may just be a random server issue which is common with new games, especially that have tons of online traffic.

Yeah already tried reinstalling game. I'm not the greatest when it comes to this, my son knows more and he is 12..lol But is there anything separate for 2K games when setting up the xbox one is there?

I'm a Playstation guy, so my experience with Xbox is less than your 12-year-old's lol. Sorry I can't be more help.

Give it a few days. 2k servers are notoriously shit on launch and a lot of issues aren't resolved until they release their first major patch a few weeks after release.

This could be the problem. I've seen some of the user submitted stuff that is NSFW. I'm sure 2K removes it after it been reported but there is still the time in between.

You definitely should. These pics were off Xbox One. I'm sure PC users are already downloading photo-realistic versions of the 2016 draft class. Even the story mode is well done and I'm not a big fan of My Player/only controlling one player. Top to bottom it's my favorite sports game even though for me it's NFL>College BB>NBA in real life. Madden earned a lot of points in my book this year. However I did go on a 5 year hiatus from any football game so it was a welcome improvement.

@JasonSpear look for a team relocation option. All the jersey and arena customization options are listed under it. @YankeeCpt WOW those are much better than mine.

under what menu though is what I'm asking? When the game starts up it asks me to create myself. I do that. Then it goes to the home menu where it says like "black top", "MyCareer", etc. Can't remember exactly but there's 4 options. I don't know where to find what you're talking about.

Look for whatever allows you to play as a franchise over a season. In previous years it's been called the association or my association. On ps4 there is my league and my GM.

yea there's "Association" I think. So under that there should be an option to edit the court, jerseys, etc? There's also "My League" on PS3 but they're 2 different things I think.

I've messed around with about all the options I can think of and can't figure it out. Guess I'll wait til I get home later and see what I can do again. It's getting frustrating.

The Association is called My GM on the next gen systems and there's my league which is a very bare bones franchise mode. Both modes should feature the team relocation option, including branding/jersey creation features.

Yeah probably just a server issue. I don't have the game but I know when I get the Call of Duty games, they have issues with trying to join games when they first come out a lot. I guess it is probably harder to simulate the load on the servers when making the game over having hundreds of thousands of people playing it at once.

I just moved the color wheel and played with the brightness/ darkness. I'm slightly color blind so I was doubting that I even had the correct shade..

so are the primary and secondary color both blue and the tertiary color white or is it primary and tertiary are blue and white is secondary?

The UK logo is a user submitted graphic you can choose from in the customization menu. It's one of the most popular. The Kentucky on the front of the jersey is just regular text, I forget the font.

that's what I'm trying to get to but apparently since I only play 1 video game a year nowadays I've turned old/video game stupid. Will use your suggestion about jersey and arena design when I get home. Skipping the gym today just so I can fart around with it and figure it out.

Don't feel bad man. A lot of games these days have confusing menus/ user interfaces.

@JasonSpear Just remember after starting a franchise/season and you're taken to the calendar schedule press B or Circle to go back. There you will see the team relocation tabs. I'm not 100 percent positive these options are available on last gen consoles.

the option for modification is under MY LEAGUE. you are only allowed to modify 3 teams in the league. I have Kentucky, duke, and unc.

once you are under MY LEAGUE- there should be 3 options: Franchise, Season, Online. I have been using season. You should have made your roster at this point. you then need to use custom roster... once u are in your league, you need to go to team relocation- which is what you posted an image of above. then you should have access to team branding, designing arena, design uniform.

Thanks, 2K responded but just said make sure when u created it, it wasn't an offline account (duh that wasn't it). But that's not the case our message say's "you do not meet the requirements to have MYPLAYER and play online" has anyone heard of that. I know someone said has to do with his age or something. Still waiting for them to respond again. I tried getting to Microsoft but failed again. I guess we will keep trying. Atleast the thread turned out good and we have something to look forward too..lol

Here's something I threw together real fast @TUL in case @YankeeCpt doesn't get back to you. Like I said it's just thrown together but with a little more love you could create a good looking jersey.
