Any creative way to protest the NCAA without hurting UK?

After watching this compilation video of the bad calls UK got during the North Carolina game i'm angry all over again. There has to be a way that UK fans can protest the biased officiating and the year in and year out terrible bracket seating.

I have to imagine if we went around shooting officials in the face.. it really wouldn't hurt the fanbase.. If anything, opposing fans might not show up to games like "yeah.. we should pass on this one".

It's a win/win in my book.. load 'em up!

I think the proper way to address it is through Barnhart. Lobby him to take it up with the NCAA and head of officials. Attacking the ref on his Facebook page is about the worst thing you can do for UK.

Having Barnhart on the NCAA selection committiee rendered zero benefit. I think Mitch is a go along to get along kind of guy. IMO he does nothing.

This is so true. He has no appetite for addressing this kind of thing. Nice guy. But he ain't gonna do anything.

Would help about as much as the post election protests. We'd be branded as a bunch of ignorant buffoons.

Have you ever done the old save a penny today, then double that and save tomorrow, then double that amount and save third day...and so on? In a short period of time you have a pot full of cash. Do the same with email, twitter, Facebook, etc. I sent out 10 emails the other day to not watch the FF. Mostly non-UK fans. Not totally based on bias toward UK (but it's in there), but the lack of NCAA action against UNC, amount of money involved, amount of commercials, etc. Told them to forward on to 10 more people, etc.

Surprising how many of the 10 I sent have said they won't watch. Many, who are sports fans, didn't know about UNC. Imagine if 10,000 fans sent that kind of email, and all 10,000 were forwarded on to 10 people...then all those people forwarded them on.... In a short period of time you're talking millions. Take even a small percentage of that total who won't watch, then you're talking a significant hit to CBS ratings...and a hit to the NCAA.

Can the NCAA hurt Kentucky anymore than it already does?

Any 'punishment' sent by the NCAA should not be taken seriously anymore.

BigSexy open your mind just a little. Barnhart is one of many on the committee. He had to leave the room when UK's seeding was discussed . Simple as that!

I actually like what he has done and it's not an easy job. He has upgraded coaching positions and helped in bring Commonwealth Stadium up to date and other related Football facilities. He worked with the Mayor and his staff to help update Rupp Arena( witch the city owns) . New state of the art score board and other improvements to Rupp Arena. Construction on a new Baseball complex and more.

I understand you don't like him and that's your right. I think it would be hard to replace him. Just my opinion.

Never stated I didn't like him. I actually think he is the best AD UK has ever had. Just don't think we is pro active when it comes to defending UK sports.

This is pretty much my take on it. They put us in the worst possible region, with the toughest matchups, with referees who want to send us home by calling blatantly bad games. What else can they do? Plant pot in the locker room and then tip off the police?

So it really doesn't matter how good Cal recruits or develops players if NCAA has a bias against Kentucky then they will stack the deck against us.

There's definitely no room for bashing, threatening, etc. and officially personally or professionally. We all should always show respect to each other.

Well, mitch was in the room when the other teams were selected. Could he still not see the screw job we got? That said, I think mitch has been a great AD for UK. I do think he neds to be a bigger advocate for the school's sports on a more nat'l level---after the last several NCAA tourney draws.

We need a protest with all of CBB protesting in Indy at the NCAA HQ. More than the amount of people at the inauguration but less than the women's protest the next day. We could do pictures.

Nothing other than not watching the Final Four.

Pretty much all we can do moving forward is hope that we have enough talent to overcome future attempted tournament screwings.

I don't know about the rest of you, but if the NCAA doesn't come down on the cheats hard before next season, I am done with college athletics.

My integrity can't support their hypocracy any longer.
