Anthony Davis traded for Luka

To be honest I don’t give a damn what sits right with you.

Anthony Davis is one of my all time favorites. It was a joke that Barkley always says. If you can’t h#ndle it, leave.

So again you can sit down and shut the hell up because you’re, not gonna do nothing about it.
Or, just maybe, you could since you don't know what you're talking about. I know the joke. Don't have a problem with it, when it was true. Tells us a joke about Shaq missing free throws. You seem more upset than I am.

Pretty much my story as well!

NBA is so unwatchable for me anymore this "huge" trade really does nothing for me.

I never really liked watching the Mavericks play because Luka just dominated the ball and most of his teammates just watched him and waited for a pass..lol
Me2 and the product is garbage and I'm a Lakers fan. Thought AD needed away from LeBron and being paired up with Kyrie isn't a bad start over for him. He also has a better roster in Dallas. Now for LeBron is it enough to keep him in LA or does he make it to Golden State this week. Alot of backdoor chatter that Lakers are gonna pull another trade sending LeBron away to play with Steph for 2 years to finish thier careers. Lakers get thier superstar and move away to rebuild whenever and Mavericks are happy. Golden States roster is garbage though and Lakers might bet willing to play the LeBron circus a few more years if he's good with it.Reading on the Lakers board about a few clashes between AD in LeBron last few weeks over the kids playing time.

Stunning trade, maybe the biggest trade in NBA history.

Sounds like Dallas was worried about Luca’s fitness and commitment to staying in shape.
The Celtics traded the rights to Joe Barry Carroll for Parish and the draft rights to McHale. So no.

The Celtics traded Macaulay and Hagan to get Russell. So again, no. This was the biggest trade in NBA history.

What's with the Lakers? They seem to wind up with the best players. i.e. Shaq, Kareem, Jerry West, Magic, A.D., and Lebron + more I can't remember. They get the beat players in excange for a retirement ready player and a couple of 2nd or 3rd team neverheardofs. Jerry West must be a heck of a "trader" or has something on these other managers. Something smells fishy to me..

Huh? What’s Shaq got to do with anything? But sure…he’s the worst free throw shooter ever. Happy now? LOL! You seem like a weird feller.

Because your joke is old, like Shaq missing free throw jokes are old. Neither are relevant now. Understand? Didn't think I'd need to explain it but here we are.

You can't help but wonder if this wasn't something behind the scenes where the NBA wanted to get lebron some help and get another star in a major market .

I'm reading that many NBA teams would have offered more for Luka, but it seems only the Lakers were contacted in the last few days. Dallas did try and move Luka two weeks ago to an undisclosed team.. but still. This feels odd.

Yeah and I know Harden receives a lot of criticism but he is quietly leading the Clips to a good season without Kawhi for most of it.

And no way does Harden whine more than Luka if we are talking about on the court . Harden doesn’t whine much .

Obviously I'm a harden fan, somewhat. He's been pretty low key the last year or so. I think some criticism of him was warranted.. but some of it wasnt.

I think the GM is just an idiot.

Everything they're saying sounds like they know they'll have to give Luka a super max extension in the off-season. They have concerns about his defense and conditioning--and because of that they don't want to make him the face of the franchise.

I'll say, he got eaten alive in the Finals this past season. His defense was awful. But...he carried them to the Finals. Dude is an MVP candidate EVERY SEASON. Virtually every other team would take Luka as the face of their franchise.

I find the reasoning beyond stupid:

Yeah, Luka carried us to the Finals, but we don't think we're good enough to WIN the finals because of him. MVP candidates that take you to the Finals don't grow on trees. It's like a woman breaking up with a guy who makes her orgasm every time, but "I want a guy that gives me multiple."

But let's say, you decided Luka wasn't worth the money and the world agrees. The best you could do is 31 year old injury prone Anthony Davis and a 1st? A 1st like 4 or 5 years from now. The Lakers will probably be a power house built around Luka. The Mavs will be outside of whatever contender window they think they have.

Cuban doesn’t own the team anymore
It may have changed but when he Initally sold for 3.5 billion of his majority stake he still retained a 27% ownership share and remained in control of basketball operations. That may have just been while the new owners figured out what structure they wanted though. It appears he did eventually step out of day to day roles last year so he had no say in this trade. I think new ownership is dumb for this.

He played 76 games last year, 42 so far this year so I don't think he's missed a game yet and is on the list of possible MVPs. Talking shit about the player who brought us our most recent championship doesn't sit right with me.
This, plus Luka has only played more than 70 games once in his career. So with Luka you are certain he will sit out 20% of the games. Right now he hasn't played since Christmas because of a "strained" calf. Hell, he rarely ever even runs! Davis is one of the top 5-10 players in the league right now, probably the best two way big man. At least "The Brow" plays when he is healthy. The "D" is back in Dallas.
