Get ready for what's happened to Oklahoma this year to be a recurring theme. It's hard to field a team when half of your previous year's team transfer.

I remember this kid. no idea what has happened to him at AU but he has put on 50-70 lb. Not sure if we will get involved with him again. But the real prizes are his younger brothers. Wouldn't shock me if he ends up at UCF as long as Gus is still there. That's who signed him.

Bama had 5 transfers, not sure GA had any. Clemson had none. LSU, Ole Miss, real USC had the most at 16, 17, 20 respectively.
UGA had 20 transfers last year? We had a RS sr who had never started once transfer, a backup DB, the QB that went to WV and an ex 5* OL who couldn't get into the 2 deep transferred to UAB. 20 is a stretch or very bad info.
If current staff is retained at AU, they may have half the roster transferring. Those players not seeing the field are asking for RS and he is denying, you are either playing, injured or transferring,no one is getting a free year. AU fans are ready for him to be gone.

The fans sure hope so, AU is also without an AD. They were hoping to get a new AD in place to handle the football situtation. AU is already paying Gus a big buyout, I am sure they don't want another this quick but they feel he is trying to wreck the program. He is a perfect example of not fitting in culture wise. AU boosters are on the verge of coming after him again like they did last winter, only this time with proof. They seem ready to ruin him professionally and personally if he doesn't step away.
Don't doubt it for a minute but these same boosters could hardly endure a like scrutiny.

The bad (inflated) numbers regarding "transfers". Is it possible that many have put a foot out the door, but some reeled it back? I was saying even that seems unlikely.

We did have one enter the portal, FSU had been talking to him for a year trying to get him to transfer. He enter, spent a weekend at FSU, came back and removed his name from the portal. Mims, playing behind 2 guys likely to get drafted this spring. Only guy on team that doesn't look small standing beside Darnell Washington.
I still do not get why they fired Gus. He is and was a hell of a coach. I think he won something like a minimum of 8 games per year and that is in the SEC West. They will reap what they have sowed
He also had beat Bama 3 times I think, but UGA only once and got hammered in SEC Championship game in rematch. He could have survived going 8-4 if 2 wins included wins over Bama and UGA, he was a combined 4-12 over those 2
