Andy Katz is clearly an idiot
Can't really argue with that other than I think Florida may be #1 and at a minimum #2 in my book. I also am not a believer in Maryland. Florida had a tough game against UCONN but nearly every champ has to grind out a game or two.
I think Florida is higher than Auburn and Houston right now. I think Maryland is a tad too high

Maryland and Michigan State too high. Florida and Texas Tech too low.
I would have Texas Tech and Ole Miss higher, and Maryland, UK and Arizona a little lower...

Duke may well win it, but it is still a fact that they have had one of the all-time easiest schedule to this point of the season. I think that is going to do them in. Possible schedule left could be Arizona, Alabama, Houston and Auburn or Florida. I don't seem them running that table.
Reseeding the sweet sixteen based on what Katz has, you'd get Kentucky vs. Alabama for the 4th time instead of the Vols for a third.
I want to see Maryland lose because I am not over losing to them in the sweet sixteen setup in 02'.
Pissed me off then, another lovely selection committee job on us that year. So the terrapins can lose anytime. Along with dUKe and the Hogs. I want to see Alabama again this year. Call me crazy. dUKe or Bama either one. I would take that right now.
but then again, that would mean we made the final four this year, why the hell would i NOT want to play Alabama for a fourth time ?

Basically, if they think they can get away with it, media rankings always go Duke, UNC, Big 10, anyone but the SEC.
I would love to know what great wins Michigan State and Maryland have outside their conference. I believe the answer to be “none.”

Duke is ok, we gave them fits this year. I dont care about this, as long as we belong in the sweet 16........ Says a lot about coach Pope's ability.
Maryland was one last second non-called traveling penalty from not even being in the picture today.
Just try to imagine how much respect the SEC would get if the best win any of our teams had was against other SEC teams.

You are correct. There is no way that Maryland should be ranked as high as he has them.
Maryland beat a 13 and 12 seed (in miracle fashion). I don't get that one.
I say if we can avoid playing a team that starts with an A we may just win the whole damn thing.
I'm just not sure how much of a test Baylor could give them, when Baylor's only center picked up early foul trouble. Up until that point, Baylor was in lock step with Duke for the most part.. but once Norchad, who was already a backup center, and the free throws mounted, there wasn't much they could do.
IDK if Florida/Houston/Auburn will beat them.. but they will for sure give Duke a much better test and will not make things so easy. I think Baylor probably still loses, but if not for the officials pushing Duke through, they would have kept that game within 10.
