And the SEC tournament suckage begins.

Well, when you cannot pull, grab, push, use illegal screen , lower your shoulder without being called for it….and basketball skills and coaching matters … the results will be like this one.

TX was only playing good at home where the refs let everything go. Dayton Ohio was a home game but for Xavier.

The 16-6 run at the end of the game where the 3 s start to fall made at difference…

I am expecting more Sec teams to lose first round: Ole Miss, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Georgia.

The Sad part we have lost to Georgia, Tx, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt…..so that put us at risk to lose first weekend.

I don’t think SEC is as good on the mid - bottom …ACC was as bad outside of the top 4 and we were in challenge with them.

I also don’t believe that SeC will win in the NCAA title unless Florida stays hot and lucky.

Guys…Texas was 19-15 (6-12). I don’t care how tough the conference is. A team with that record has no business being invited to the NCAA tournament.

Hate to say it but that’s like when we beat Oklahoma the other day. I swear I thought I had missed something with the way UK fans and UK media were celebrating after a win against a team that we should beat. They too were 6-12.

I’m a die hard SEC fan and will always pull for other SEC teams when not playing UK of course. But teams with those records do not deserve making the big dance. End of story!

He’s winning enough to keep his job and Texas mediocre.
Apparently not. It surprises me a little that they’re acting after only 2 years if that’s true, but I do think it’s the right move for them. They kind of felt forced to hire him full time after the team made an Elite 8 with him as interim coach, but his track record at Fresno State and UTEP would have never even whiffed a P5 job otherwise. They should be able to do better with all the resources they have.

Johnson for Texas might be a lottery pick. However he didn’t seem to play a lot of defense and was quite stagnant on offense unless he had the ball tonight
Not a mind reader but I'm guessing he was thinking more about the NBA draft than winning that game .. As a UK fan you've seen plenty of examples

There will be some losses but sec teams will overall do well. Elite talent and elite coaching is a tough combination.

As some of us figured, officials will play a role. It isn't so much on ball defense, its all the rebounding and off ball stuff they let go in league. Sec lets teams just maul cutters and that won't happen in the tournament.

Hopefully officiating does cost the sec some games. Maybe then there will be an interest in getting it fixed in league play.
