I’m thinking we may need to focus more on successful transfers from the G5 level who have a little chip on their shoulder and will take coaching.
Who can blame him? We are a graveyard for QB's, WR, TE, OL, and Offensive coordinators. How can we be an attractive option for recruits after this year? I guess NIL is the only reason now.
Gotta assume his brothers are gone as well? Underutilization of tight ends and such for Josh?

I expect, assuming Stoops returns, for UK to lose several starters to transfer besides the few likely to go pro(Walker, Hairston, and BB probably only likely possibles) or the large number graduating(which is most of the defensive starters and dline reserves). 2-10
If I’m KY I’m scouting the MAC plenty of talent to load up the roster with studs sprinkle in a few power 4 players

That was my thought but josh lost snaps. Josh played awful early and was overtaken by a very impressive freshman who was clearly better. Hate it but just the facts
Yes, I’m guessing Josh is transferring out and that coaches have told him he got passed up in the TE room. I suspect several upper classmen to enter the portal this week.
FWIW I watched Kattus at halftime , he lingered a long long time before he entered the tunnel to leave field . He was talking to someone in the stands . I actually ask my wife " isnt 84 Kattus " and ask Why isnt he in the locker room .. this isnt rumor BS , I was there . He didnt go in with the team
I expect we are losing big brother Josh to the Portal. That is probably what is behind the other moves on replacement TE. So you are probably right. Just the wrong Kattus.......for now.
I also expect to see Khamari Anderson lost to the Portal.
Let's hope not, would like to keep he and Rodriquez.

I'm an unabashed blue collar guy. We can all have different talents, if we can just work at what we do well we can all contribute to a successful product. Therefore, I just hope Stoops means what he said yesterday: "If you're not ready to work don't come back." Maybe its BS, maybe coach-speak....or maybe he's finally shooting straight.
Looks like we are going to find out how serious he is.....

Jmo but Anderson is primed to be the next pass catcher. If we lose him, its no good indeed. In fact we should've let dingle and his awful blocking go last year instead of paying him.
This is one major issue I have with CMS and this staff.
They refuse to play more talented younger players ahead of their " more senior" players.

I will LAUGH if we suck from here forward because of all the idiots that bailed on the team even in the years we won 9 regular season games. The idiots deserve it. They have no redeeming value.
This staff has made some big mistakes. No question. If anyone thinks they haven't earned the right to try to fix this mediocre program they brought to respectable for 8 years, then there's no hope for them. I'm pissed that we wasted this season, but even more possed that the lack of support and publicly calling for his firing is tanking one of the best classes we'd put together yet.

THAT'S not LOYALTY! It hurts your team and does a disservice to your players. You play who earns it, or development ceases.
When it doesn't matter how good a player plays in practice, scrimmages, and the spring game, you're no longer COACHING. You're just a parasite at that point cashing a check.

I AM a faithful supporter of UK football for over 60 years, through thick and thin, good and bad, so I do not want to see the AD stand idly by and allow a lame duck coach who hasn't given a $hit about this team since he has had to deal with his own personal problems, burn it down like Cal did the basketball program.
If you can't see that the program is almost rock bottom and still falling ( thank God for Ms. ST.) under CMS, I don't know what you are watching.
And to come out and boast that he is coming back and he is also keeping his OC that couldn't score 20 points a game if his life depended on it.

You're both right. Some people want the program to crash and burn so they can say, 'I told you so' and be happy about that. Some people believe the program plateaued a few years ago and Stoops' and staff's performance has slipped badly the past 3 years. This year it's hard to make the case that any position group excelled and got better as the season wore on (with, presumably, more coaching occurring each week). For all the grief Hamdan has rightfully received, White's defense slipped badly this season as it went on and the defense was supposed to be a strength and potentially an above average SEC defense. They were not.
I've been a long time fan and truly believed we'd seen the last of the really bad years once we won 10 games twice in just a few years. I really thought Stoops and the program had turned the corner. Now, I discover that was fool's gold. We're not only quickly going in reverse, we may end up lower than the worst of the Curry/Joker 'eras'. And that's saying something.
I want the program to do well. My expectations have always been sort of the SEC's answer to Iowa. Probably not going to win the conference or the CFP, but consistently win 7-9 games with outliers both positive and negative every 7-10 years. I thought we were there. We are not. No telling what the roster will look like next year but the schedule is just as brutal so we could be looking at another 3-4 win season. That's hard to stomach for me as I've seen dozens of years over my 54 years of following the team just like that. I don't have the patience any longer for 'building a program takes time'. If this all falls apart this offseason, I may become a VERY casual UKFB fan and watch more of good games between 2 good teams that I have little rooting/emotional interest in.
