In no way, shape or form and I'm saying that Amari's play hasn't been an issue at times, but his overall production is decent.
He is
only playing
20.7 minutes per game and is averaging
9.8 points and
9.0 rebounds per game, while shooting
55.1% from the field. Granted his free-throw shooting is only
61.5%, but he has been only a
62.9% shooter over his five-year career.
His
PER 40 Minutes numbers this season are
19.0 ppg and
17.4 rpg ... which is pretty good, I think. He's not ALL-SEC, after all ...
We
DEFINITELY need him to play better, especially defensively, but is there a chance that we are simply expecting
too much from him ... and our expectations are
unreasonable ?? I suspect maybe that is the case ... unfortunately.
Just a thought ...

For comparison, Garrison is averaging
18.0 minutes per game ...
5.5 points and
5.1 rebounds, while shooting
48.1%.
Like Williams, he is shooting
61.5% from the line.
His
PER 40 Minutes numbers are
12.3 ppg and
11.3 rpg ...
