That is the best point in this all that I never thought of. The portal is closed....where is going to go?

If anyone really knows what "portal closed" means, here is a good place to post that. In another thread there is a link to a site that says "portal closed" only means you have to tell someone you are leaving to enter it.

He has already entered the portal, If he wanted to choose another school all he would do is notify UK and they would allow it. This isn't the early 2000's where signing a NLI means something.

Pretty much. My impression is that players are not truly locked into a school until they sign the tuition documentation and start attending class.

Wonder how long it'll be before the courts tell the NCAA that they can't "close" the portal and that players have the ability to transfer instantly anytime they feel like. LoL You know it's going that direction.....

Once the season starts they are locked there. We're talking about right now May 2nd, anyone who entered the portal can choose their team until the off season ends.
