I haven’t seen this mentioned for a while, but a lot of people mentioned early in the year that his dribble just looked off and they couldn’t explain why. I offer the explanation that it’s because he does what hasn’t been done in basketball in the US for a long time, he dribbles on top of the ball. Everyone else dribbles behind or on the side of the ball. Amari dribbles like a throwback that hasn’t been seen so long that it doesn’t look normal anymore. I think he dribbles as originally intended by the rules of basketball; he doesn’t carry.
