Although it is too early, my hope for 2026 recruiting class

Hope we can get these four:

Tyran Stokes (It may hard to beat UL on this one, definitely will be a superstar)
Anthony Thompson (6-8 SF who can shoot well as 2G)
Jason Crowe (Explosive Guard we need.)
Taylen Kinney (Local Project, may be a little short. Could be a college star in second or third year)

Then assume Moreno, Lewis, Noah, Perry, Garrison stays, recruit 2-3 more transfer pieces, this is the year that we should make the peak in tournament run, huge talent mixed with experience. Has physically, athleticism and offence ability from different angles, then we have definitely shot at championship.


By the way, I think noah and Perry will be the least talented players pope will recruit as freshmen in the future. This year he has 3 and potentially 4 5 or high 4 stars, expect the same or even better in the future. So talent wise will be greatly improved in following seasons.

This season is beyond my initial expectation but I expect Pope will the best team in his third year and we will make the best record in that year

We are gunning for a Final Four run this year. We have flaws but I’m focused on what we can do now. It’s way too hard to predict the future in this NIL landscape. We might lose everyone.

We need Jaxson to be the star like today and Amari plays solid rebound and defence like today to make a serious run in march. They are inconsistent. These two really need to step up and perform stablely in following games. If they plays like UGA game, we will exit early. If they play well like today, we can compete against everyone

You realize Taylen Kinney is currently the 20th ranked player in the class and is a 6’3 point guard, right? He’s not a project…..or short . lol

He is more like 6-1 or 6-2 on the court, similar size with Dillingham. Do not know if he is as good as Dillingham. I tend to think he is more like a multi-year player than one and done.
