Almonor is a sniper, he needs more minutes!

You can't count on the LSU version of Almanor.
That's been proven over the course of the season.
The LSU game made it twice now that Ansley shocked us all with a nice drive to the basket. He has it in him. Need to see more of that. I absolutely love that dude. He's very appreciative of the time he's spent here. One of my favorites on the team this year.

He's got a tendency to disappear and you didn't know he'd even been in the game.
Yes, against teams that are physical and run him off the 3 line you don't even know he's out there at times.

Me and four of my buddies could've gotten 50 on LSU. They had no interest in defending once our first few shots went down. Those dudes were checked out.

Yea he can catch and shoot, but that’s it unfortunately. He can’t create his own, can’t go off the dribble & must have others create a shot for himself. I’m glad he’s here and think pope has to be conscious of what lineup is out there when he puts him in.

AA will get his chances at MU. They're no great shakes defensively. What I like about him is he demands attention. You have to guard him closely if he's within 30 feet of the hoop. He improves our spacing when he's out there which is so underrated by many on this board.

When he "snipes", then yes. But some games, (probably 1/3 of them) he just disappears, goes like 0-1 in 12 minutes, with 0's across his stat line.

When he is bad, he is really bad. What he lacks in shooting in his off games, he makes up for by not playing defense or rebounding.

True, some teams (not all) have been able to take him out of his game. What I like about him is, unlike some guys on our team, he doesn't get frustrated and take bad shots. He waits for his opportunities. He doesn't turn the ball over either....our best guy in terms of fewest TO's per minutes played (Brea is good at that also). His offensive stat line is pretty efficient if you pick through it....shooting splits of 53%/45%/90%. He's a very valuable guy off the bench.

I’ve liked him being in the court for several games since he started getting more minutes.

I’m confused about something though, I thought he had another year of eligibility left possibly but the senior dinner pics had him there. So is this his last year or might see him next year?

As of now all 4th and 5th year SR's are out of eligibility.
