It's absurd and over the top to call for coaches head to roll even had UK lost this game. Get real
I was critical of the second half performance today and we were getting manhandled, but we pulled off an unlikely comeback. I'm giving credit where credit is due, I didn't think we had it in us the way we were getting gashed. As a player I never gave up but sometimes as a fan I guess I seem to at times. This come from watching 50 years of Kentucky football, time and time again we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I thought with all of the defensive starters out when they got rolling it was over and I'm sure most of us did. I was just sure settling for those two field goals was going to get us beat, Great job cats!!

If your afternoon was spent trashing the play of an O line missing 2 out of 5 starters (Dare & Cox) and an offense missing 2 of top 3 wide recievers, and a D missing many important starters, you are a pretty crappy useless fan. Very true. In fact, a lot of the miserable Mary's in the FB game thread do the same thing on a regular basis in the BB threads.
Cancel the game threads. Too much emotion. The thing is like a heart attack on an ekg in a game like this whether it’s basketball or football. Or newsflash
accept that all fans are emotional and some are more vocal about their displeasure/pleasure than others. Some of you wouldn’t know the difference between an honest criticism and trashing our players because you pump more sunshine than Saudi
pump oil. The comments here and where ever else are a reflection. If you can’t handle it shut down the game threads. We have Tom leach to tell us the play by play. Message board posters are analysts.
The people who might have made hopeless posts are no less of fans and are as happy maybe more so than any sunshine pumper that we won.
personally I knew we were depleted and it would be a long game but pointing out the terrible play calling inside the 10 in the first half or our defense turning to Swiss cheese in the second half. Our oline being decimated, well those things were friggin happening in real time. So you’re gonna see some real time emotion in the threads and especially game thread.
We have to stop this mentality that one fan is better than another and stop calling out people we differ with. I guess though that’s part of it too. The seeming sunshine pumpers calling other fans names or calling them out is no different than fans calling out players or coaches. They are also angry and hostile but direct it differently.
Idk but I do know this. We are all excited and happy that we can cheer for a football program regularly on New Year’s Day. we have passionate fans who love their team and get caught up in the moment of things. No one can honestly call for anyone’s heads. But at that moment we miss a block up the middle leading to a sack man our fan base is tame compared to others when they criticize that player.

would you say that a fan who says “our oline is sucking today and we ve given up 8 sacks” would you say that fan is trashing our players? I mean really if you’re brethren can’t point to the reality playing out then what’s the point of a message forum. “Oh JHB4uk your take on our defense is excellent and our oline is great even though levis takes a loss every series. The losses just make will more hungry” “Yeah it’s great that we even have player who showed up to the game today. I was concerned some may not make it back from church for the game”. Is this the stinkin dialogue you guys are looking for?
I think the OP and others probably aren't stout enough for the game thread. And that's ok. Like some people faint at the sight of blood. If that's the case; just stay out of it. It's a message board. That thread, most of all, is for venting and spitting out hot takes. If you don't like what's being said, ignore it, reply, or skip the thread. Whatever your constitution can handle. I was too engrossed in the game to post more than once, I think. But that's what message boards are for.
Its uk fans.. they look for a reason all year to quit on the team, every year, in any sport, then forget about everything when things end up right.

Well said . Great post . Nothing worse than telling Fan A how to cheer on the team exactly like you do . Fans , like people , are all over the place . In a NYD game thread I'd suppose a good % are beer/bourbon buzzed and might just go a little over the top in either praise or criticism. I think it deserves its own thread but its OK to question where was Crod on so many on those snaps on 3rd and short or inside the 10 .. was he so gassed he flat out couldn't go ? Was it simple coaches decision ? That was maddening. Could have cost us a bowl win .
I wasn’t happy when we kicked the first field goal, I felt we should’ve gone for the TD, played to win. I wasn’t happy C Rod wasn’t involved in the short yardage plays that failed.
I wasn’t happy Stoops called that TO so early at the end of the first half leaving Iowa time on the clock ( this stuff has to stop).

You should go read the Iowa game thread .Their meltdown started during our first drive ,lol. Fans do that kind of stuff. EVERY fanbase is like that .
I generally research and hire editors to see if the post is true and accurate. I have a law firm that reads all the excerpts from all the posts in every thread! I generally pay them well and give them ample time off. They happen to be off for the holidays, but come Monday I will have my people on this. We will get to the bottom of this, nothing is more serious than a sports message board!
