Anybody else A: Don't really understand where this came from and who started it and B: think this would be a lot cooler had we not lost six straight to end the season and we weren't losing half of our recruiting class?

Its marketing for UK fball season tickets. Did u see the commercial during halftime of the Super Bowl??

Nope... it just seems kinda funny that our staff has come up with this great marketing pitch, and the most important thing going on right now is falling apart for us.

What would you prefer them do? How would this look on twitter?

"@UKCoachStoops: well sh**... #wheelsfallingoff"
"@UKCoachMainord: at least we have basketball! #decommits"
"@UKMitchBarnhart: sorry UK fans! Looks like I hired a dud! #mybad #failure"

It's been a bad month, but it's still their job to promote the program. If they ever want to turn the corner, fan buy-in is going to be paramount. This campaign is all about encouraging buy-in and getting the enthusiasm back that was lost by the losing streak and these decommits. They can't just wallow in self pity, they have to pick themselves up and keep promoting the program.

It's not a personal attack on you OP, I just feel like sometimes our coaches/athletic department can't do anything right in the eyes of our fanbase. For 20 years we were upset at the terrible marketing or lack of an attempt at marketing. Now we're marketing, but people want them to stop until we're going bowling.

Wow, can these fans get any more ignorant? Its as if when something bad happens we should all give up and quit or else we are pathetic. Just wow. Get ahold of yourself my friend, stop being o negative. Things are alot better than they have been in years.

This is quite the norm in college athletics. UK isn't the only school who experiences the things we are experiencing right now. I think even Georgia has lost something like eight recruits. It's just part of it and you do the best you can. I'd go nuts having to make a living based off of the decisions of 18 year old kids. haha

For the first time in a long time the coaching staff AND the administration are "ALL IN" for UK Football. I have been "ALL IN" for the last 35+ years.

Why would any fan want to jump ship now???

Just because a few recruits have decided they'd rather be the last kid taking up a scholarship at a bigger school than to be a part of an historic turn around, doesn't mean that our coaches, administration and fans should roll over!!!!

You're either with UK or against UK!!! YES SIR, I'M ALL IN!!!!!

I was actually commenting on it because it's great and I like it, but it obviously doesn't really effect recruiting. It's one of the cooler promotions I can remember any school running. Some of you people automatically assume people are being negative instead of just bringing up a talking point. Don't like it, don't reply, otherwise, don't assume what the intent is.

Been a while since I've been on the end of someone just calling me ignorant because they misread the intent in a post. Honest to goodness, that's more annoying than people being Debbie downers.

Yep, we have lost 8, could lose up to 4 tomorrow and the top guy left on our board is torn between us and a west coast team. Its been a crazy year, lost more this year than any 5 combined. But on the other hand, we have picked up 5 committed elsewhere, could pick up 3-4 more tomorrow and could hang on to all our guys and sign the top guy on our board. So it will be an eventful day and we could be turning that bottle up or we could be sipping with happiness.

But as Ferrell said, its a crazy year, even Bama is losing multipe kids, kids they don't want to lose for a change. Personally I am glad to see it, nothing would make me happier than their entire class fail to qualify.

Good grief.

Youtube the commercial and watch it. It's actually one of the better marketing videos I've seen for UK football.....ever.

You wish he had called you an idiot in a less succinct way? That's odd.
