If he can kick a 65 yarder without a tee, under pressure, he's got an NFL leg. Accuracy as well.
I agree, but just going by what I saw last year most of his kicks around the 40+ area dropped inside the field. If he can get it there from 65 in practice then he has improved on his distance dramatically. NFL kickers now have to get there with reasonable accuracy from 55.

I have some friends and former colleagues who work in the sports management industry, so we occasionally house athletes who come to Florida to train, often at IMG, but some other places too. Had a kicker live with us for 6 months, so I got to know him very well and I filmed his promo videos. We set up balls on both hash marks starting at the 50, every 5 yards to the 30 yard line, so 10 balls total. I kept the camera rolling as he kicked each ball, running back to kick from the other hash, so he did all 10 in about 90 seconds. He didn't miss one and the 60 yarders were not really that close. He couldn't get a sniff from the NFL. His best offer was Arena ball I believe. I asked him about it and he said kicking from 60 yards with no snap or rush is really quite easy. He did five in a row to show me. Secondly, he said, your shot at the NFL is all about who you know/who represents you when you are a specialist.
