Alex Poythress Makes ESPN’s Top Players Ready For a Return

His dunk over Dekkar** was amazing.

He took over against UL and Wisky in the scrapping/hustle department during our run two years ago.

and that is what we need him to do. be that physical presence in games. both offensively and defensively. he doesnt need to shoot it. in fact...he should be our primary low post guy. skal should be the face up 4. poythress needs to operate 15 feet and in and on the move to the basket.

i guessed i missed all these set shots poythress has made in his career
He hit 14/33 his freshman year for 42%. That was while playing the 4 and scoring mostly from inside so occasionally they'd leave him open from long and he made them pay. When he was moved to the wing and guarded on the outside his percentage dropped drastically. My hope is now that he's back at the 4, he'll get a few this year in the same manner as before.

He can shoot a set shot when he is not moving like a 3. But he can't shoot on the move like a lot of other players his height. That will hurt him.
