Our team and alabama play similar style

alabama is just an upper version of our current team

More athletic
More physical
More disciplined
More talented

Their building of roster can be the template to learn

Want to see how they will perform against defensive team like auburn and ut. They are bad matchup for us. Other type of team may play different against bama.

They put so much pressure on teams because they knock down shots and run great stuff to always get an open 3 or layup. They don’t hurt themselves by taking low % bad shots. Great strategy.

They're good, man. Title good.

I agree that we are a poor man's Bama, and you can tell that Oats and Pope favor the same flavor of basketball. They will be battling (along with Pearl) for SEC supremacy for years to come.

I think they can absolutely beat UT and Auburn, but we'll see if they do.

They're like us in the fact they they'll either light you up or it might be a long night depending on how their shooting goes.

Remember, little ole mighty North Dakota took them to the wire and OT. And probably should've won. If that happened, we'd be having a bit of a different discussion about them.

They're title good. But they could also get bounced early if they can't find the nearest body of water.

They weren’t that much better than us for what it’s worth and we weren’t even close to healthy. To the point that I think you could reasonably say it’s still in question.

They are a good team though that is absolutely capable of cutting the nets down.

I think they have been greatly improved since their loss to ole miss

That's a lot of "mores" considering Alabama only beat the Cats by 5, with Carr and Butler both fighting through injuries and Kriisa out.

How about, Alabama has several guys, including stars Sears and Nelson, who have been in the system multiple years and played in a Final Four together, while Kentucky is playing an entire team in which no two guys had taken the floor together for a real game before two months ago. I'd say that's enough of an advantage, along with Kentucky's injury situation, to explain a five point win in mid-January.

The health of Carr and Butler in that game was surely worth 5 points. If we get them healthy by the end of the year I’ll concede nothing to no team.

we have this game in our home court

If this is neutral or away game, we lost by 10+ at that game

But yes, if carr is healthy, the game would be more closed

Nevertheless, do not want to face Bama in tournament. They are similar with us and a little better than us in most aspects.

Nelson played like garbage many times last season except for tournament, he was a draft project into Bama and played a bad regular season, then he did not have draft status anymore. This year he is very very great. If he was good in regular season last year, Bama would already be a 1 seed last season. He just made progress in tournament

Yes, we built a team in a short time and this will be the least talented team we will have under pope. Future for us is very bright

Was glad to get Pope but Oats was my first choice dudes an elite coach

Nate Oats will be future HOF coach. But still glad to get Pope.

We will have bright future under Pope.

Our guys have not played with each other before and just learn new system, so our performance is inconsistent and undisciplined at times.

Bama, at least their core Nelson and Sear already have a final four run, they know how to play with each other

The difference in the first game is they executed down the stretch and UK did not. Same thing happened at Vandy. This version of UK is not as athletic as I think we will see in future years and Alabama did expose that. Or maybe is Carr was healthy his man would not have gone off in the 1st half and UK would have been able to play thru him down the stretch like they have in other big games.
