Advice to UK Fans

But we don't want this board to be so juvenile do we? You're a good poster who can stand on the strength of your opinions. You don't need, and I'm sure you don't want, some moderator being asked to be a schoolmarm to protect you from "trolls." Anybody who doesn't break the rules of civility and decorum should be allowed to post and express any opinion they want about basketball here.

I always enjoy a good troll roast.

BTW, my gear includes a t-shirt that says: "My Little Brother Is A Whore Mongrel" :pimp:

Looks like we have another UL troll here. Here's one of his posts on the hooker scandal. He should've been banned on the spot.
Not at all! UK is overall a better school than UL, has a better human being as BB coach, (although I believe Pitino is better at X's and O's) and almost always has more BB talent. And, UK is legendary in college basketball while UL is still working at it. I've liked UK since I was a kid in the mountains. I started following UL much later but now like them too. But, I try to not let my emotions blind me to reality in favor of either team.

I work across the street from the Yum Center and wear a UK toboggan every day in the winter. I've never had anyone say a word to me about it even when fans are piling in for a game. There are plenty of UK fans here and you're about as likely to see UK fan gear as UL gear except on game days. I've never gone into Yum with UK gear on though. Suspect it would only be an issue if you tried to go there to watch a college game when UK wasn't playing and you happened to run into some inebriated college kids. Those buffoons on the UL forums may be grown up but they are hardly adults. Fortunately they are a small minority and I don't think you'll have any problems when you come here for the state tourney.

Where do you work UKGrad83?

I work as a contractor at the LGE building some days. Is that where you are?

Okay, you sure convinced me. [eyeroll] No UK fan would make the post below.

Depends on what part of town you're in. Downtown and points to the east and north, no problem. To the south and west, maybe you'll catch some guff.
I'm a UK fan and alumnus living in Louisville and there are just as many UK fans as UofL fans. We're just not as obnoxious.

I have to go to the Louisville Convention Center, wherever that is.

The truth of the matter is that people on the internet are like objects in your side view mirrors...they appear to be a much different size than they really are. Fans of both sides, and all teams in general, tend to mouth off and act all tough toward their counterparts online. In reality, many of us, have family and friends on both sides of the aisle and we get along with one another quite well. We tease each other and gloat over our wins but in the end, most of us realize sports are entertainment. There is no room for violence toward one another those that end up in that situation usually, but not always, end up their by their own volition. The older I get the more distance I put between myself and fans of either team that have not learned how to be adult fans.

"try not to remember the cash in the FedEx envelope"

I don't remember it. It was an Emory Worldwide package, little birdie. Enjoy watching the tournament in March....only ONE team from KY will be in it.
