Good news as he is our best defender. Maybe the guys need to see the toughness he brings to the floor. He's been sorely missed. Hopefully he gets more PT than Edwards. I'll believe it when I see it.
Needed him against South Carolina. May not have made a difference. But then again, it might have. We had the lead cut to 2 in the second half, then folded.
Gonna be interesting to see how Cal allocates playing time with both Adou and Big Z added to the mix. Just ain’t enough minutes available to go around for everyone expecting and/or deserving of them. Especially since we’re nearing the point in the season when Cal usually shortens his rotation to no more than eight guys.
I just hope he doesn’t deal with the issue by reducing Sheppard and Dillingham’s PT.

He'd have scored three straight baskets, gotten 2 back-to-back defensive stops single handedly, and grabbed 3 rebounds, all in about 5 minutes.
Then Cal would bench him because he traveled once.
Sc game was lost when we were up 5 in first half and couldn't extend lead. Big part of that was refs not calling obvious shooting fouls on SC on Reeves and Wagner drives early on. Should have been up 7 to 9 points instead of 5.
Thiero would have helped but the way that game was called idk.

100%, he’s one of my favorites and has been since last year. Edwards struggles have highlighted how bad we need Adou back.

He will play tomorrow. I posted he'd get clock 3.5 hours ago and I definitely believe he will. I also stand-by the fact we will see a new starting lineup tomorrow as well.

Yes that much has been known, included in the article I posted and Cal alluded to it the other day.
It’s time now to take edwards out of starting spot. On the road. After a loss. As well, Edwards has made this easier on Cal. Play 23 minutes and do nothing but take up space. That should make it easier on him. I’ve been supportive of JE, but there comes a time when it’s just time.
Him just playing is a HUGE step forward and would essentially mean there's no real issues anymore (or to begin with) regarding him and Cal.
I just want him to play, don't even care if it's for 5 minutes.
The roatation needs to be cut down to 7 or 8. Wagner, dilly, reed, reeeves, Mitchell, adou, are the six that should be locked in. Bradshaw, Edwards, ugo, Ivisic are on a game to game or whoever is on that night basis
I’d like Big Z to be locked in. We need at least one big man to get the majority of minutes for defensive purposes especially.
I would say bring it down to at least 9 guys. Bradshaw definitely needs some quality minutes. As far as Ugo and Big Z one of them should play in certain situations. Edwards needs to get some minutes but come off the bench until he can improve even if he doesn’t his minutes need reduced

Having Reed and Reeves both out there together will be a lethal duo, teams will not be able to leave them open, which would create space for Wagner and others.
