Bring refs in to every practice and have them call it tight. Run the s**t out of the guys every time there's a penalty. Conditioning is a great punishment. Players hate it and it makes them better. Double bonus.
Get someone in to talk to the team and work with them to remain calm. The recipe to defeat a Stoops team that has an opponent outmatched has been to get under our players' skins and let us kill our own drives or extend theirs. Mizzou did that perfectly. Passion is one thing – throwing the game away with a flurry of hissy fits is another.
Find leaders on both sides of the ball. The players-only meeting is a solid start. Find who is able and willing to be a vocal leader.
Work the heck out of the DBs and have them practice defending RPOs and play-action.
Introduce the WRs to tennis balls and jugs machines. Seriously.... Then get them in the film room so they understand holes in zones.
Have Barion practice looking for the ball. I'm convinced he has the speed and wherewithal to run under a lot of these lobs that Leary puts up. If Bowden could run under Wilson's deep ball, Badet could run under Johnson's deep ball, and Wan'Dale could run under Levis' deep ball, then Brown should be able to do so as well for Leary. I'm convinced Brown could've caught that lob later in the first/early in the second but he never looked back for it. Maybe he did look and I missed it, but getting him work in that regard couldn't hurt.
Lastly, work on some things, get back to work, improve in some areas, focus on some good things in practice, and work through some injuries.
