Let him enjoy his recruitment. You know they only usually get one of these so live it up. He’s about to be rich and I’m sure he’s loving life.
Cal got plenty of guys in his range and honestly he’s the type guard who could stay a couple years and really be a great college player before going pro.
One more. Next years roster is going to be absolutely loaded. If we get as many shooters around these guys as we have this year, watch out. Talent, experience, and a system that works.
He probably is, but I think he already knows he wants to come to Kentucky. We are clearly willing to pay him, Arkansas is most likely getting cenac. So it essentially comes down to Kentucky and unc. We have his best friend, so advantage Kentucky

Really Johnson’s recruitment should have done that. Oats had a 3 year relationship with him, and a style that fits Johnson’s game. Pope winning that one( even with a little help from the crafts) will never get the full credit it deserves.

This is a HUGE commitment. It shows that UK isn't going anywhere. For HS players and just general perception. First out of state high school recruit for Pope at UK. And he's a guy courted by Hurley.
Pope getting the exact same ranked recruits as Cal, but I think Pope will be identifying guys who are into making solid, consistent, & reliable NIL money while being giving the resources for improvement and empowerment to play within a free range system. I’m okay with some OADs, but I think everyone would like to see us be a program where fringe players are enticed to come back. There’s more than enough benefits to returning to a program like Kentucky, no more pushing out 2nd rounders and UDFAs. Those are guys (like a Dickinson) who ho get “stuck in college” and end up being dominant upperclassmen.

Hope Wilson commits soon and we go hard after Ament or Calderon. I know Pope wants 4 freshmen but you never know who may leave. I would love to land either.
Fairly certain Wilson will be it. Lewis was certain we take 4 freshman and the rest of the slots will be portal guys.
He reminds me of a left handed Dillingham the way he plays. I love his game.

He’s got the same kind of handle and change of direction Dilly had, he has the step back jumper, his passing is great. He does those crazy scoop style layups from anywhere. He’s a baller.
