He's basing that on yesterday's hype. Today the word from the gurus is that it's 50/50 with UCLA.

There are as many reports that he is going to UCLA as there are KENTUCKY. Who knows at this point. Everyone is guessing. I am sure DD will tell each coach what they want to hear at this point till they make a decision. The Kam commit today might make others come on board due to Pope not waiting around for other people. Take the best you can get the quickest you can get. Leave a spot or three for last minute guys you just have to have.
That's a bigger factor than people realize. I personally don't love the phoniness that comes with LA and the west coast. But I won't pretend that LA isn't an enormous draw over Lexington for the vast majority of people.
Remember folks.. it's about the pay day first, and then it might be whatever the player feels comfortable with. Coach, System, fanbase.. that stuff will at times come secondary.
