probably not a good fit. Charlotte has a ton of shooting guards. They are also looking to move Zeller and get another veteran wing in return. Unless an upcoming trade ships off a couple of those SGs, It seems like slim odds for Aaron to make their roster.

So best case scenario is probably that he impresses another team during the summer league.

I am depressed what my idiotic Hornets did with their first round pick. I Hope Harrison sticks.. I want more Kentucky boys on my team.

I know. I mean 7 footers who can put the ball on the deck, shoot with range, run the floor and are proven winners are a dime a dozen. I can't believe they'd throw a pick away on a guy like that.

Hahahahahahahahaha...... Burn.

I know right. What could possibly be the benefit in having a big man who can pull his man out of the paint and all the way to the 3pt line? How could that possibly benefit a low post player like Al Jefferson who spent all of last year dealing with double teams and a crowded paint? Lmao.

If Kaminsky was European, no one would question the pick. Dude earned my respect. I wouldn't count on him to bust.
He's very good. Didn't know his dad was a pro. Might not fit on this team but will find a spot.

Try being a Hawks fan.....The last time ATL had a UK player: Randolph Morris

So in other words, not one UK player picked up by ATL in the Cal era and last year's team could have used a Josh Harrellson. We had grandpa Elton Brand and Pero Antic and the kid from Bucknell who was the last pick in his draft.....Muscala.

I hope Andrew signed the papers on the expensive car the twins bought for their mom ASAP. I heard Aaron say a couple of times after he declared he didn't care about draft projections or mock drafts. He's young. That attitude is on his father as far as I'm concerned.

You can talk smack all you want, but anyone with a brain knows in 2-3 years and for their careers it is going to be Booker and Lyes>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kaminsky, who is limited in his development and what he will top out at.

Hope it works out. He's good enough to play somewhere overseas 5-8 years. If he can pick up a second language, gain some maturity and save some money- he can have a good start on the rest of his life.

I would even more so because the first round euro picks have massively underperformed in the last decade. I agree that many people have that euro vs American white guy bias though

Would love to see him picked up by Cleveland who is in need of shooters. Give me Aaron Harrison over Shumpert and day of the week.

Another good destination would be....wait for it.....Memphis with his brother lol. He would be a serviceable back up for Courtney Lee and having chemistry with his brother already would make the adjustment that much easier for the both of them.

But can Aaron Harrison shoot UPS? I mean I know he hit clutch shots for us at times, but his shooting percentages from 2 and 3 are not good. He is a good FT shooter though. Very clutch there at UK.

Not to be a debbie downer, but Andrew doesn't have a guaranteed contract yet either. Memphis looks like a good spot for him though. He should be able to win the backup spot and a roster spot at minimum.

This year his shooting was average at best compared to his freshmen year, but that clutch gene is something you cannot learn or teach. Aaron Harrison can only get better with work and he will have plenty of time to do that now IF he puts the effort in. Him coming off screens or playing beside of a star who can get him open shots would be the best thing for him. Every player doesn't have to be a play maker or play starter as most on here think when they say he cannot create for himself. Aaron Harrison is athletic enough to do some things in the pros, but all it takes is being a solid role player who a team can depend on to hit an open shot when they get it....ask Cleveland how they would have liked that this year in games 4 and 5 of the Finals.

The Hornets that have developed players and gotten better are called the Pelicans now. The Charlotte version has no immediate future with MJ in control but at least MKG can help show AAron the ropes.

best case for Aaron is some top 12 team that can afford to let him sit and develop scoops him up...

a team that isn't desperate, that has a veteran presence and an established star or 2...

Spurs would be great, aaron could work his way into some second team minutes...Golden State...Cleveland has LeBron, Kyrie, and will have a solid foundation so long as LeBron is there calling the shots...Maybe okc...Washington...

essentially teams that are going to be in the playoffs regularly...who have solid front office, coaching staff, and roster...

desperate teams that have little leadership and talent on the floor, bench, and in the front office is the absolute worst case for anyone...especially somebody like aaron...

The Harrison twins fared in the draft pretty much as I expected. Neither is very athletic and neither is a lights out shooter. The only thing they really have going for them is they are very big for guards but truthful they are not great at posting up smaller guards or great finishers inside and have difficulty defending quick guards. That somewhat takes the luster off of their size advantage. There just was too many better options out there for them to have fared well in the draft.

I have this to say to the poster that posted that maybe it would be good if he were reunited with his twin. IMO a very bad idea if I am coaching that team. I would not want both of them. They too often play to each other when there is better options available.

Charlotte has a lot of shooting guards but very little shooting. It's a great fit for him, if he can shoot well in summer league maybe he has a chance to latch on to the Hornets or any other team for that matter.

I doubt MKG plays in the Hornets summer league.

That was the case last year. That is not the case now that they unloaded Stephenson/Henderson and added Batum/Lamb. Now they have several SGs who Harrison is unlikely to beat out.

How did last years 1st round pick work for the hornets? Oh, and Cody Zeller the year before?? I know you were trying to be funny, but please check out how pedestrian the 4th pick of the 2013 draft has been for the Hornets... If Frank the Tank can be better than him then I will eat my words.. I don't see it.

Oh, to save you time go to this link then make your next brilliant insult lol. http://espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/2579258/cody-zeller

By the way, Cody Zeller is 7ft as well.

Yeah, I was burned right on. Cody Zeller, Noah Vonleh (who is already traded)...great pick. Time will tell, but good luck with sleepy Kaminski helping the hornets at all.

Oh, and if you think Lyles dosen't have a greater upside than Frank, then you need to go focus your eyes on Hockey.

I didn't say FK will be a sure fire star or long term contributor. I just don't think it's crazy to see why he was picked.

We don't know how things will play out and Booker and Lyles aren't anymore of a guarantee than most any first rounder.

Fair enough, but I just haven't been a fan of the past 3 hornets first round picks ( Charlottte, not New Orleans)

Pretty sure Cody measured under 7 feet. In any event, Cody's offense is still a ways behind Kaminsky. Cody spent all last year talking about how he hoped to add a 3pt shot to his arsenal. Frank already has it. When Cody is on the floor, his man was constantly helping off on Al Jefferson. The guy guarding Kaminsky can't do that. If he leaves Kaminsky, Kaminsky is going to score.

Fun fact, Kaminsky is also 6 months younger than Cody Zeller. The fact he is so much further along with his offensive development is precisely why the Hornets are now shopping Zeller.

Charlotte's 2012 pick has been the biggest bust - a shooting guard who can't shoot.

Can't believe no one on here as mentioned that.

Hate all these NBA teams that take foreign players but I guess since it doesnt cost them a roster and if they turn out that's great if not let them go.

You mean a small forward who is the second best rebounding small forward in the league, and the guy who Charlotte fans consider to be their best player? No bust. Not even close.

I sure hope you are correct... As far as his height goes the ESPN site has Cody at 7'0 240... I just didn't pull those numbers out of my behind. lol I guess we can keep on hoping these guys will be productive and that the draft experts were wrong on Frank the Tank.... If they aren't wrong, he will earn the name Frank the Tank.

You are confusing Hornets and Pelicans. But yeah. Unless you are inferring that MKG is a shooting guard in which he clearly isn't.
