Yeah, if he enters the portal and doesn't come here this board will be a MESS. It's why I really don't like the "hint hint" stuff Jones & Friends do. Setting the coaching staff up for backlash when so-called "done deals" don't pan out.

I like Smith. He's obviously a great player. Would most certainly generate a ton of points in this system. I'm just not completely sold on him as a point guard in the SEC. I think other guys could be better options defensively/physically, and probably at a cheaper price for better upgrades at other positions.

Sounds like something an agent would float out to create a bidding war and force Purdue's hand. Smith is a God in West Lafayette too. They'll give him every cent they possibly can.

I don’t hate Pope and never will I just know we need an upgrade of talent from this past season if we want to take that next step. These players are flying of the shelves as fast as they’re coming into the portal and the really good ones for that matter!
