I have a feeling you know something about the situation.
I've seen someone say we offered him 4 million and BYU offered 6 million. 5 million is believable, obviously i have no idea if that's true, but its from someone who knows far more than me.

So BYU is giving 6 or 7 to Dybansta and 6 to smith. That’s 13 million tied up in 2 players lol
He'd make more in sheer publicity at UK than either of those schools. BYU won't get him unless he wants to convert to the Mormon rules on campus.

Here’s what I think. Just my opinion. If he enters the portal with a do not contact, I think he will ultimately end up a cat. The smoke has been going for so long that it tells me his heart might be in Lexington but we will see

Smith would be awesome but I'd be happy with either Demary/Pierre or another quality PG. Get Gwath signed, add another big (Yaxel?), maybe a combo guard and a developmental big and we'd be set.

Yeah, if he enters the portal and doesn't come here this board will be a MESS. It's why I really don't like the "hint hint" stuff Jones & Friends do. Setting the coaching staff up for backlash when so-called "done deals" don't pan out.
I like Smith. He's obviously a great player. Would most certainly generate a ton of points in this system. I'm just not completely sold on him as a point guard in the SEC. I think other guys could be better options defensively/physically, and probably at a cheaper price for better upgrades at other positions.
