Can an improved Safety position help improve Cornerback performance?

I've been mulling this today. Talent, depth, and experience all are going to be there at Safety. Stamps will be joined by the likes of West, Edwards, and Walker- among others. I think everyone is in agreement Safety is in pretty good shape relative to other units. I am pondering if there will be help from Safety lent to one of our most vulnerable units in Corner. More athleticism and depth will keep the patrol in the middle of the field fresh and more likely to support Corner/side lines, no? Or will teams target our corners rather than the middle knowing Safety is more of a strength for us? I'd love to get some takes on this considering how we defend and if an improved Safety
Corp will help support Corner.
