Decided to look up and post some of UK's defensive stats through 3 games. So, without further ado --
RZ Touchdown Defense Percentage in 2015:
36.36% (T13th in the nation, 2nd in the SEC)
It's worth noting that Kentucky is only behind Florida in red zone touchdown percentage (Florida sits at 7th in the nation in this category, at 28.57 TD% in the RZ).
It's also worth noting that two teams that are tied for #1 in this category have not had more than 3 red zone defenses to this point. Kentucky has had 11 red zone defense attempts, so it's very encouraging to see that our team is holding up so well in the red zone so far.
RZ Touchdown Defense Percentage in 2014:
68.18% (111th in the nation, 14th in the SEC)
This is how tremendous our improvement here has been between last season and now. From last in the SEC, to 2nd in the SEC. Now, a lot of successful teams struggled to hold teams in the Red Zone. Ohio State was actually ranked 114th in the nation in RZ touchdown defense percentage, and Tennessee, and Georgia were both ranked directly above UK in this category, while Baylor ranked directly below.
All that said, it's tremendous that we're holding up this well in the red zone.
For reference, through the first 3 games that UK seen red zone situations on defense in 2014 (UT-Martin, South Carolina, and Florida), Kentucky allowed a RZ TD% of 61.27%, which is fairly consistent with what we seen for the remainder of the season.
-----
Passing Defense in 2015:
Touchdowns allowed: 1 (T-4th in the nation, 2 way tie for 1st in SEC)
Interceptions gained: 4 (T-25th in the nation, 4 way tie for 2nd in SEC)
Passing Defense in 2014:
Touchdowns allowed through first three games (UT-Martin, Ohio, Florida): 4
Interceptions gained through first three games: 3
Touchdowns allowed by end of season: 22
Interceptions gained by end of season: 15
The passing defense is off to a much, much better start this season, and against much better competition overall as well. Very content with our pass defense to this point, excited to see the improvement continue.
-----
3rd Down Conversion Percentage Defense in 2015:
27.50% (25th in the nation, 4th in the SEC)
3rd Down Conversion Percentage Defense in 2014:
43.65% (104th in the nation, 14th in the SEC)
-----
Fun Fact: When versing conference foes (Kentucky has faced 2 to this point), UK is 3rd in the nation (1st in the SEC) in this category, only allowing conference foes to convert 19.05% of the time on third down.

I don't know about some of you guys, but I really like the look that our defense gives up, and I like how much the defense has improved week after week. Excited to see what the defense has in store for us next week, and for the rest of the season. Year 3 under Stoops is looking good for this unit.
