in last nights game. South Carolina shot 63 ft's, wonder how close to a record that is? I know we have played several games where the opponent shot a lot but don't remember any being in the 60's.
I think the SC game is going to be really good tough game. I have watched half their kids play in HS and they were really good players so I expect this to be a tough physical game.

Sounds like that was a joy to watch. How I wish they would find some officials that don't think the game is about them.

Memphis came in with a chip on their shoulder and set the tone early for a physical, intense game. I think the refs called it tight to the vest so that a fight wouldn't break out. Their players started taunting our fans within the first 3 minutes.

Maybe the players should quit fouling. If you find referees who don't call fouls then the game is even harder to watch and teams like UL or any Big 10 team will always have an advantage.

good grief, whenever I talk to So. Carolina fans all I hear is "we don't care about basketball" and you're telling me y'all had fans at the game and now here you are on our board doing 99 foul damage control? [winking]

Welcome, cockhorn - stop by anytime. Here's wishing you guys undefeated until the Feb. 13th tip-off! Cheers!

Memphis committed 41 fouls.

FORTY......ONE.......FOULS

5 guys fouled out, three others had 4. That's over a foul a minute. My god, did they come to the court with pipes & bicycle chains?

I watched a lot of that game and I have to say that a huge majority of the fouls called were legit fouls.

If that crew did the Arizona/ASU game, there would have been 150 FTs. They were letting them kill each other before calling anything.

Yeah, the only way that would happen is if there was almost no contact. Refs could call 3 or 4 fouls on every possession of the game. Problem is one crew lets everything go and the next one is whistle happy.

I watched some of this game. It was very hard to watch. The announcers commented about the crazy amount of free throws the entire game.

People, Memphis is poorly coached and came in with a mission.

Foul, repeatedly, and force the officials to make the calls. They pulled a Pitino and now they're bitching about it. Memphis fouled every single possession in that game.

Oh, And South Carolina was in deep foul trouble as well. It wasn't one sided but Memphis thought they were playing rugby. Shaq Goodwin (who sucks but still can't quit smiling about it) could have fouled out in the first 5 minutes.
