Last year NB's goal was 75 plays per game. I don't think we ever really got close to that. At times Stoops told him to slow down. I think that was because our D was getting tired. This year our depth is so much better, I suspect there will be few requests to slow it down by MS. Also because now the QB gets the call and communicates it to the team instead of the QB going to the line reading the D and then stepping back while the whole team reads the play call, those extra seconds saved on every play will save a lot of time. I'm anxious to see how close we get to that 85 plays per game. If we get close, we should absolutely wear out the other teams D by the 4th Quarter. I'm sure the SEC teams that have quality depth will be less effected, but in the O we have they won't be able to substitute unless we do unless there a stop in action. I excited to see how this plays out. What do you think?
