20 were by the same guy. Shows knew who their best foul shooter was obviously.27 for 28 is absurd shooting for a college team.
Was that in regulation? That would be 2 FTs every 18.5 seconds in a 40min game. The record is 130 in a game. That’s almost unbelievable. Bet that was a nailbiter.
No mention of OT. Said the shots were almost balanced 65 each. Was that in regulation? That would be 2 FTs every 18.5 seconds in a 40min game.
I wondered if the 61 made FTs was a 40min record
You don't read this board much then. Every game people complain if another team shoots more free throws than us.More ft’s isnt a good indicator of who got the better calls. Watching the game and seeing for yourself if there were missed calls for one team and not the other is the way to determine if the calls were balanced.
Very clearly they missed many calls, on drives and rebounding shoves in the back, for UofK. They also gave Battle several where he initiated all the contact and our guy was in good defending position.
It also seemed a couple were late and one was clearly not a shooting foul or it was extremely late.
That is the way the game has gone. Players fall to the floor on way too many shots with no contact. They have learned if a ref just happens to catch them fall out of their peripheral vision they may blow a whistle. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Knecht falls on 90% of the shots he takes.Several times our guys hit the floor on a drive with no call. Don't know if it was a foul but every time they hit the floor on a drive it was a foul call. That is what gripes me.
Vescovy falls back on 100% of his shots and flops his head back like a chicken with his head chopped off everytime he comes close to a screen. That is the way the game has gone. Yes he does and so does the 2 guards from Florida. I saw Knecht drive in for a layup and nobody touched him at all. He fell all the way into the cheerleaders trying to sell the call. Luckily the refs didn't fall for it....that time.Vescovy falls back on 100% of his shots and flops his head back like a chicken with his head chopped off everytime he comes close to a screen.
He is a little be-otch.
I'm surprised he didn't get the call. UT gets the flop call 99% of the time. If the refs see anybody falling in their peripheral vision.....tweet, tweet...Yes he does and so does the 2 guards from Florida. I saw Knecht drive in for a layup and nobody touched him at all. Rob does some of it but most don't and that has especially been true with our big guys over the years. They play defense straight up and don't flop and fall with the slightest contact. It seems that most of the time 90% of the flops is called a foul. I'm bias of course but when that is happening to us it looks like our guys are bodied on their drives a lot and no foul is called 90% of the time. Also, our guys don't seem to flop as much as a lot of teams we play.
I recall our Jamie Luckie-officiated matchup vs. South Carolina in 2018 had 74 Free Throw Attempts. Is that an NCAA record??? I’m not a stats guy
