One of own was over on the Louisville board saying the sec got in 6 or 7 more teams than they should have.
And I don't want to read into a small sample but you have to wonder about Arkansas and Ole Miss.
Coached by guys that have been there before. Cal's had success in this thing (however long ago that may have been). And he seems to do well when seeded low.

7 teams in and of course Kentucky has to play 1 of those SEC teams would have rather played someone else
I'll be honest outside of St Johns who is already out, the other 2s are relatively similar in strength.

lol u know.......I just remembered. For the longest time we all thought UK was being paired with Florida/St Johns towards the end. Had that happened it would have been us vs Arkansas. That would have been wild lol.
We would not have been allowed to play Alabama since we played them 3 times already until the E8 or after.
I would have preferred another non SEC team
I still wish we had drawn Arkansas. Righting that wrong would put a nice bow on this season.
Ole Miss would have to play with just 3 on the floor to lose this in final 4 minutes. 7 SEC teams out of 16 left is ridiculous. The best conference in the country by far and it shows.

And watching MSU struggle against New Mexico right now maybe they would have been better to have faced.
Then again I guess the counter to that is if we were paired with the non SEC team then we would have faced one of the SEC 1 seeds.
Not that any of those would be a walk in the park but Florida and Auburn I'm not sure we match up all that well.

Yeah but that win we gave up a historically bad points per poss on defensive and took a historically good day on offense to win. Plus game was at Rupp.
I don’t think we matchup all that well with UF.
