That’s including Amari’s made three, which was his first of the season.

This UK team won’t win games shooting 25% from 3. Especially this walking wounded version. Travis Perry was the only Cat with more than 1 made 3.

One of the more understated aspects of Reeves shooting last year was that he hit at least 1 three in every game but 1. Very consistent and very rare among elite shooters. He finished with a 44.7% 3pt, even with that one 3-17 shooting game, just below Brea though for the year.

I feel for Amari Williams right now because he has been playing out his mind the last 4 games.

Noah has improved while Brea, Oweh, and Chandler are turnover machines.

I'm disgusted right now because they're giving games away.

What frustrates me the most is knowing they have the potential to win it all.

This lineup will depend on Brea making his shots. Him being ice cold is pretty much what cost us. The rest of the team was off too, but Brea and Almonor are the ones who could get buckets in large numbers when they’re on.

If we had Butler and Robinson healthy, we win that game going away even if our shots aren’t falling like usual.

Yes. He was very streaky the year before. But very steady last year. Last year if he got cold he would then go make a floater or two )which his was the best I’ve ever seen), and then pop back out to make a 3.

The Cat's were not going to get very many looks from the 3 pt line, they way Texas played defense out on the perimeter. I think they brought in the offensive line coach from the football team. Never seen so much blocking, grabbing and holding on those screens. What upsets me since the officials let them do it was , UK did not adjust and start going back door more.

Pope said the problem was we weren't "in the moment" enough, I'm not sure what that even means. I saw a team in the last four minutes that didn't value blocking out, didn't value the ball (turned it over) didn't grit their teeth every possession and say "we are going to not turn the ball over and we're gonna get off a good shot." Hope and wish passes have no place in the last four minutes of a close game.

Teams are just going to push up on shooters with little risk of someone driving to the iron lane…hence Butler loss

The only other thing is Carr just has been a disappointment from deep all year

I don’t know what other buttons Pope can push given the current circumstances

Amari is playing better then I ever expected!
My problem is Pope needs to get his shooters better shots.
Brea Almanor Noah perry are the ones that need to be on the wings and in the corners.

Lineup of Williams Almanor Noah Brea Oweh, the middle should be wide open for oweh and Williams to play a 2 man game, with shooters in the corners and wings!
Perry Noah are limited on defense. But are elite shooters. If they play you need to get them each 3-4 shots a game! They make it much easier for Williams/oweh to operate around the rim.

Hard to make shots when your offense is out of sorts. No flow to it. Our best offense is our five man backing down their five man from the free throw line.

Might be because we don’t have a PG. That tends to adversely affect most offenses.

It eerily reminds me of the Tubby "not tuff enough" post-game speeches.

The injuries this season has been at the root of most of our problems. Yet it is fair, absolutely fair, to say the guys are doing other things, from lack of fundamental aspect at the very least, to simply not hitting a free throw, that makes the difference between winning and losing. Maybe that's the deficit you are burdened with when you aren't a 5 star naturally talented NBA ready to go player as a freshman, and spend years in college ball developing skillsets.

When you have to get a coach that has to put a team together in the circumstances that Coach Pope inherited, I'd say he did an admirable job and is doing a good job considering sometimes things are simply too much to overcome.

Being with Jaxson and Lamont out, Kerr is on the sidelines, we've been hamstrung in the one area (guard) that in this year's SEC, it is the absolute worst time to have this as an issue. As if ANY time is ok to lose all your point guards!

Considering I was willing to give this whole season a mulligan, I am thrilled I haven't had to.

But hearing how some disgruntled fans out here are so upset and inconsolably negative with a constant drumbeat, I just thought I would try once again to say chill out, BBN.

Trust in Pope, just pray for our guys to get healthy as they can be.

Go Big Blue!

He's nowhere near pushing enough buttons. Here's some ideas, things he NEEDS to be telling these guys:

1. you shoot the ball, you head to the rim for the putback
2. creating your own shot is NOT just doing something after you've received the pass
3. set SOLID screens so that your teammates can be freed of their defender
4. if you can dunk the ball, then you DUNK THE BALL
5. if you're defending the three, then you must have a hand in the guy's face at all times

Maybe he does tell these guys these things, but I'd like to think he's doing these things during the game, and not just half-time or after it's over.

Held us every time we made a cut and never got a call .

We have no point guard right now. This is the way it will be the rest of the season.

Yes this is exactly what the issue was. I felt like the older guys like Oweh were trying to do to much to compensate being out Butler and Jax. I think Perry and Noah need to be held a little responsible for that as well because they need to let shots fly. I think they feel as if they need to defer to other guys and that's maybe some of the reason we had all the awkward passes and turnovers idk. We had no business losing that game.

If we don’t make more than 7 3’s per game we won’t win. That is why Pope wants more than 30 3’s shot per game. He knows we need at least 10 made 3’s a game to win
