4-4 in last 8 games, 10th place in SEC

We have been overrated much of the season. People forget this team was put together from the portal in weeks during the spring. We were always going to take our lumps this year. The wins over Duke and Gonzaga raised expectations for this team, but we have average talent for this league.

We should be ranked 12-16 and get a 4 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Will not be a bubble team. Bad take!
Could be. Lost 2 in a row. Most likely lose Tuesday and arky looks better without a freshman running the point. They win today and prolly come into rupp and get a win because Kentucky can’t stop anyone. 4 game slide with another 4 likely losses down road.

The SEC is being way overhyped, IMO. Strong yes, but this once in a lifetime behemoth…no way.

SEC has 7 teams in the NCAA Net top 25, Big 10 has 6, Big 12 has 6.

The SEC isn’t that special.

Dude, they’re projecting 13 SEC teams in the tournament. The previous record is 11. The season is the strongest the SEC had been in my lifetime without question.

I get negativity is your thing, but …

if we lose to Arkansas I will not watch another game this year.

A team with injuries this time of year is not a good thing. We will be going into the Arkansas game on a 3 game losing streak in the SEC. Carr will not be better by Tuesday. Pope probably thought it was better to rest him and he could beat Vandy without him so he will be ready for Tennessee. Either that or Carr is getting worse and not better and will be out an extended period of time. If so then Pope has to figure out how to play down Kerr and Carr. Also has others that are not 100% like Garrison and Butler. Got to figure out a way to stem the tide right now. Not sure they can do it. Did not watch again today and checked in here about 5 minutes ago. Just reading up on your thoughts during the game was enough for me. Will not watch this game. Gonna be a long week this next week. UK will drop to 17 or 18 this week and should if fact do so, heck AP might drop to 20+ knowing how the media loves to do UK. We all knew this would be an up and down season due to the talent and such. Just have to hope they can get it together for Feb and March. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!

The difference is the floor of the league is much higher than other conferences.

We kicked everyone's ass in the non-conference.

We have only two teams outside of the top 60 in the NET, none outside of the top 90.

The Big 12 has 3 outside of the top 100 and SIX outside of the top 60.

The ACC has NINE outside of the top 100.

The Big East has 5 outside of the top 60 with half the teams that the SEC has.

The Big 10 has 6 outside of the Top 60 in the NET.

SEC has four of the top 7 teams in the NET.

Six of the top 14.

There is zero, zero doubt that the SEC is by far the best league in America, and the SEC had an 89% win percentage in non-conference games.

We were 15-10 in games against top-25 opponents from other leagues in the non conference. The 2nd best? The Big 12 at 11-26.

SEC was 29-19 in Q1 games against other leagues. 2nd best? Big Ten at 21-40 record.

This shouldn't even be a talking point.

History bears this out to be true. The SEC is probably the most even league from top to bottom but every team has a glaring weakness and no one team outside of Auburn is great.

Come tourney time the whistles will shift and these hack and grab teams won't know what to do.

Here’s I how look at the schduele.
- vandy, LSU, SCAR, ark, and @okla have to be wins
- tenn, aub, and @ Texas are games you really want to win but can lose
-@tenn, @bama, and @ ole miss @mizzou just see what happens but expecting losses.
There’s another game I’m missing but blanking on

I may end up wrong but Arkansas did not look good without Boogie Fland . Sure they won but it was ugly . They shot 31% from the field and 13% from 3 at home . If we can’t beat them in Kentucky then idk what to say .

As for the thread this team is not a bubble team unless we flat out collapse the rest of the season .

It’s not. Excellent breakdown. SEC is historically good this year. Plain and simple.

Watch. Davis will get into a flow now that he’s got a bigger role. They rip off 2 wins and come into rupp on a 3 game streak and UK on a 3 game skid. Making it a must win for UK.

Getting average portal players will be a short stay at UK for Pope unless he adjusts and gets at least one or two great players, whether it be high school or portal. Also teach defense plz!

We will see but the one game without Fland I didn’t see much difference in Davis . He still struggled and the offense hasn’t exactly running through him . If that game was in Arkansas I’d give them a chance but no way should we struggle with them at Kentucky .

If we lose that game this team has some very big issues .
