The SEC is being way overhyped, IMO. Strong yes, but this once in a lifetime behemoth…no way.
SEC has 7 teams in the NCAA Net top 25, Big 10 has 6, Big 12 has 6.
The SEC isn’t that special.
The difference is the floor of the league is much higher than other conferences.
We kicked everyone's ass in the non-conference.
We have only two teams outside of the top 60 in the NET, none outside of the top 90.
The Big 12 has 3 outside of the top 100 and SIX outside of the top 60.
The ACC has NINE outside of the top 100.
The Big East has 5 outside of the top 60 with half the teams that the SEC has.
The Big 10 has 6 outside of the Top 60 in the NET.
SEC has four of the top 7 teams in the NET.
Six of the top 14.
There is zero, zero doubt that the SEC is by far the best league in America, and the SEC had an 89% win percentage in non-conference games.
We were 15-10 in games against top-25 opponents from other leagues in the non conference. The 2nd best? The Big 12 at 11-26.
SEC was 29-19 in Q1 games against other leagues. 2nd best? Big Ten at 21-40 record.
This shouldn't even be a talking point.
