Did the Zags really only play 39 games this year? Counting the title game.

I was worried that they would take record for the most wins in a Season from us but when i looked if they do win it will be 38-1 which will match is so i still will look at it as.
1A. UK
1B. Zags

If they don't win then we still own it out right.

I haven't seen this brought up anywhere so i figured bring it up.

Not really. The reason I stand behind is it doesn't note we lost in the final 4 it is just a numerical record which we achieved first. So even if they win and finish 38-1 the title shouldn't count any more than our final 4 loss.
Now if I'm worng and it says we finished with the most wins in a season and lost in the final 4 I'll stand corrected.

It's bitter sweet as they would be considered the better 38-1 team since they would of won the title, but I hope they destroy team Coca Cola. I have a feeling Higgins will make sure gonzagas big man will have 3 fouls in 5 mins while Meeks gets away with murder

Doesn't really matter. For however good gonzaga is.. They played in a midmajor conference and that will always be applied to this debate.

I don't see how you can say the Zags would be 1a when we achieved it first. In all other records when being challenged the record holder is always listed first. And if the challenger ties their always listed under the original holder will it's broken.

WCC Tournament gives the top seeds a bye to the semi-finals. Thus, Gonzaga only had 2 conference tournament games as opposed to the 3 any other team in a big conference would get.
