There was a stated goal at the beginning of the season to shoot at least 35 threes a game and for at least 50% of total field goal attempts to be threes. They were unable to reach those goals, as they attempted 25.7 per game on 41.8% of total attempts for the season. In the SEC, those metrics were 24.5 and 41.4%, respectively. I'm not sure if it was playing speed dictated by opponents, opponents' defensive emphasis on stopping the three or perhaps some fatigue on our offensive end from having to exert so much effort on the defensive end of the floor ... especially in SEC season and conference play. The Cats shot 37.4% and 38.8% on three point attempts for the overall season and SEC season/tournament play, respectively.
