Sort of lost in that framing, SEC was 8-6, Big 10 was 8-0.
We're not done judging conferences yet.
But I do think it was silly putting 19-14, Texas and not much better oklahoma in.

I think the SEC has done what it was supposed to do in the given matchups. Plus, 4 of the losses could have gone either way at the end.

I remember two years ago, San Diego St. and Florida Atlantic made the Final Four and a lot of people were saying that it was signaling a change in the status quo. People were on here saying that the P5 teams were losing their advantage.

Then last year it looked like it was back to normal with the Big East, Big Ten, SEC, and ACC making the Final Four.

This year looks like it will be P5 dominant again, once we get deeper in the tournament.

2023 was an anomaly, it seems.

Nil era probably keeps it mostly power five. Smaller budget teams aren't going to keep their best players or get the best recruits. 2023 definitely will be rare

Missouri was the only SEC team to lose from the top 9 SEC tournament seeds.

1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9 all won
7,10,11,12,13,14 all lost
Of the SEC's six losses, five of them were close games. Georgia got smoked by a Gonzaga team who looks like a 1 seed right now.
