Alright, this is my 2nd shot at this. I'll call my first attempt the beta phase. Previously I just chose a handful of the more successful teams to compare 2024 against and ran them through a sorting app I spun up. This time, I went ahead and did the grunt work of pulling in all teams since 2010. In my previous attempt, I also messed up the flat file for the 2010 team (full disclosure).
I started to do this because:

If you don't want to go through all the data, it can best be summed up as this:
2024 Kentucky is one of the best offensive teams in Kentucky history (so far)
2024 Kentucky is also one of the worst defensive teams in Calipari history (so far)
2024 Kentucky is also the best stealing team Calipari has ever had at Kentucky (so far)
There are other interesting things you can pull from this data. Too many to list.
I'll probably keep this thing updated for the remainder of the year. I also want to add the respective national ranking for each stat, but they aren't paying me enough for me to do that immediately.
Anyways, the full output of comparison exists in this document:
I started to do this because:
- Im a nerd at heart
- I wanted to better understand the objective difference in this team's style compared to past Calipari teams
