Has that been confirmed? I thought that was just an option they were looking at to this point.2024 the SEC will contain Texas and Oklahoma. And we will all play 9 conf sched, 3 perm + 6 rotating.
We played and defeated Arkansas in 2019. I think it was Bowdens first start at QB.UK yet to play Arkansas and haven't had Texas A&M at home yet.

Georgia's schedule this year seems easier than ours.
Auburn instead of Ole Miss and the UA, UF and UT games are at home. UK away is their only challenge.
We play 3 ranked away games and UGA at home. They did play non-conference Oregon though.

We only lose like 10 scholarship guys this year. we will have some holes to fill, but we bring back a lot of experience. so I won't consider it a "rebuild" year. QB will take care of itself. I've mentioned it before. We went to bowl games with Steve Johnson, and Terry Wilson at QB. A 10-3 year with TW under center, so again, I'm not worried about QB until they give us a reason to be. We will have one of the best receiving corps in the SEC if not the country. I can still see us being a top 25 team next year.We find a QB I think 8-4 or 9-3 in what some would consider a rebuild year. I’m not sure UF will be any better than they are this year. UT/Miss St are the pivotal games (as they are this year). A win against Bama or UGA very unlikely. I think worst case would be 7-5 and if thats considered a down year then our program is finally starting to arrive.
if they do away with divisions, will they reduce the number of permanent opponents we play? seems like they'll have to in order to keep a healthy rotation when teams are added. i could see them going with 4 or 5 permanent teams and the rest on a rotational basis.Sankey said earlier in the week that the 9 game conference schedule was not a done deal yet. But did say there wouldn't be divisions and pods were unlikely because they didn't fit the model he wanted.
The 24 season seems right with OU and Texas. We had a home and home scheduled with OU for 23 and 24. It was canceled by the SEC because it could cause a conflict with the master schedule for 24. This is a very recent event, left us scrambling for a 12th game. UT Martinis who we got.

Out luck they'll arrange it so our permanents are UGA, Bama, Oklahoma, Texas and Tennessee. Bama will get Vandy, Missouri, MSU and South Carolina.
Yeah I heard Dawg fans weren't happy about that.Sankey said earlier in the week that the 9 game conference schedule was not a done deal yet. But did say there wouldn't be divisions and pods were unlikely because they didn't fit the model he wanted.

I heard a 1-8 system was also under consideration.Nothing has been settled officially, but the conventional wisdom suggests that the SEC will go to a 9 game schedule with 3 permanent opponents (annually) and 6 rotating. The most common pairing has our 3 permanents as USC, UF, and UGA, but there are also a few that have us with UT. UK's most treasured permanent opponents are UT and Candy, but UT has longstanding rivalry with Alabama and Candy that they want to preserve, so it's no guarantee that we get either of those schools in our grouping.
